google says x 1.8 than add 32. Which seems complicated. Plus, my version is easy and close enough.

So new rule. Double it, add 18, round up.

so, your 17 would be my.... 55. Close?

Uh. 17*2 is 34, plus 18 is 52.

17 C is 62 F. So not that close, no.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Two non serious teams with non serious QBs

Cant wait to piss away another year, but man social media will be lit!

Not one mention of what he can do as a QB.

Take nothing away from everything Tua said.  Those are all great things.  Doesn't make him a good QB though.

First Joe Carter and now you’re attacking our temp measurements?   You’re careless use of the letter U in words that don’t require it, is a secret joke to us.

I hope that hurt.

I know you love your freedom units, but my god man, they're so wonky. It's a lot easier when everything is units of 10/100/1000.

99% of the world cant tell the difference between 55 and 62

How do you round up from 52 to 55?

Just now, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Most people know that 52 and 55 and 62 are pretty much the same thing, just take away the differences.

Our spelling may seem weird, but at least in my country, we obey the basic laws of mathematics!

If you take 20 C, double it, and add 18, gets you to 58.

20 C is 68 F.

So...I'm assuming Bacarty would "round up" again to what, 60? 65?

I think you'd be better off doubling the number and just adding 28?

Thats the next "important" or "easy to get to" number

People cant divide 53, or 54 out quickly. 55 is a multiplier of 5, and one of the easiest to learn and to do mentally.

should I have rounded up to 100?

You shouldn't round up at all.

Have a feeling the Lions walk through us week 1

Me when the Eagles revert back to a running team mid October because the QB stinks:

Me when I realize that means the Eagles will have a new QB in 2023:

Play the games one game at a time.

Nah Derek Barnett is going to finally become the sack machine he was drafted to be and lead us to victory off the bench.

Hutchinson vs. Mailata is going to be a treat.  I want to believe Mailata mauls him but I think Hutch will get some wins.

after reading the last page, do we need any other proof of why the decimal system wont work in this country ?

People confuse trying to understand why a decision is made with a defense of a decision.

Too often, decisions are judged ex-post, when hindsight is 20/20, I want to understand the reasoning ex ante, when the decision has to be made with insufficient information.

Confirmation bias says if you focus on the result, you'll get a skewed take on whether it was a good decision. For example, people used to think there were financial geniuses, based on results, then careful analysis showed that most "winners' were just lucky, only a very small minority of financial managers had results that were statistically different from random fluctuations. But if you judged those managers on results, without taking into account luck, many seemed to be above average.

It is better to be lucky than good, but confusing luck with skill leads to overconfidence.

Not insufficient. Incomplete. Which is just reality. Have to be smart enough to judge probabilities and risks, along with understanding how a team fits together.

people who are poor performers are always blaming externalities like luck. Hitting the lotto is luck. Bad drafting is poor performance

Sorry to the guys who hate or don't understand the jersey thing but I think Davis looks much better in 90 than 99.  Upgrade for him.

BUTTTTTTT

my confidence level is not good

why? I think the Lions will be an improved team over last season, but so will we.  We beat them 44-6 last year, but for some reason your confidence is low.

Per Ed Kracz....Gotta love that in the wide open NFL which favors wide open offenses and down the field passing that this is the Eagles passing game.

SLOW AND STEADY WINNING THE RACE FOR JALEN HURTS

The Eagles offense was on the far field further away from prying eyes for most of the session and Hurts had a workmanlike performance relying on safe throws and checkdowns.

The biggest opportunity was an underthrown deep ball to DeVonta Smith that could have been a TD with better ball placement.

Smith, though, helped his QB by coming back to the football and drawing a defensive pass interference call. Smith made the catch despite the penalty.

In the battle old old friends and teammates at Alabama Tua probably got the best of Hurts from a splash standpoint but don’t be surprised if the latter wins the race of the better season.

Didn't their new draft pick just get injured? I'm not worried about Goff

I didn't know that Sewell is listed as their RT though
