Is Teez Tabor a name to look out for?  Still relatively young, U of Florida guy.  Wonder if at the very least we could see him on the PS.

Guy has totally busted in the NFL but he has the tools you want.

@HazletonEagle Thoughts on Tyler Badie? Cut by Baltimore, but another undersized guy

I wouldn't get too worked up over this little circle jerk cult of bullies.

Its been suggested to me by a few posters to just ignore them after they're trolling scheme against RTK and apparently that's what the mods have done as well.

Some are of the opinion that if enough of us

Ignore them they will go away, if it were one or two maybe but when it's a circle jerk of about 5 or 6 they feed off each other and infect the board.

But hey if the mods don't care why should I?

They're all probably high on coke.

I think this is a little on the pessimistic side.

Reddick, Williams, Davis and Sweat on the dline is a young, solid group.

Dean is a solid prospect.

Maddox is a solid slot corner.

That's a pretty good collection of talent already, and guys like Epps, Edwards and White aren't going to be that expensive to bring back.

They also have lottery tickets in McPhearson, Blankenship and Jobe.

The Eagles are in really good shape, and their future looks really good regardless of what happens at qb.

If Hurts does well and gets a big contract, they have draft picks to build the defense.

If Hurts sucks and they spend a lot of draft capital on a qb, he will be on a cheap deal and they can spend money in free agency.

Either way there is a path to success.

Right now they have 7 players who are starters on defense that are free agents next year.  That’s bandaids for this year any way you cut it.  Right now the Eagles have just short of $8 million on the cap this year.  Let’s say, just for argument sake that they carry all of that to next year (unlikely as that may be).  Next year they have just short of $10 million in cap space.  Because Howie is addicted to void years to spread bonuses, there are several players not signed next year, like Edwards, White, Bradberry, Hargrave, (and Seumalo) that cost about as much that against the cap with dead cut money.  Makes those extensions a little harder.  Now Howie will just restructure and eat into 2024 and beyond’s cap structure.  BTW, that doesn’t take into consideration Cox or Graham, who are signed and have really small salaries but pretty big cap hits if they decide to leave (and Cox already has a $15 million cap hit from getting cut for a day this year).  Some of those 7 players on defense are going to leave because Howie cannot resign them all.  Thus he bandaided a defense together for this year adding Davis (hopefully future starter), Dean (right now a project and backup) and K. Johnson.  From the UDFAs, Jobe is a backup at this time at best and Blankenship, same.

Now I didn’t say some of the bandaids aren’t good, but a bandaid is a good temporary replacement for damaged skin, these bandaids are probably good (coming from a bad defense, they might even be average this year, Hurts anyone) but a lot are at this point temporary.  Howie can work more restructure and spread "magic” or mortgage may be a better term but that just spreads what is owed to the future.  I don’t think my bandaids comment is pessimistic, it is the realism of where the team is.

Yeah. I had no interest in him due to size. I never formed much of an opinion. I watched, said he looks alright but not what I am looking for, and moved on.

The 1 small back that really stood out to me as a sproles type is Max Borghi. Even though hes small, Id be excited about that pick up. I cant remember if he did returns or not. But loved how he ran.

Yet you keep liking my posts.  In regards to RTK, he has a long history with this and the previous board, and was banned for his idiocy and beefs with multiple people.  He can not take the heat for being wrong about his hot takes, so he plays the victim card.

Do we really need to see the heat turned up and left on relentlessly though?

Its so tiresome. There can be solid football discussion going on in here the past couple of days discussing roster cuts, and CGJ. Its drowned out by a heavy dose of arguing the past 2 mornings.

Where else is there for your argument to go? You got a group of guys who agrees with you. Teams up with you. Gives you likes. Gives eachother likes. Other people who dont participate as much, or at all likely agree with you that his posts are stupid as well. You have pretty much everyone on your side. There are no minds left to change. But a lot of the people who agree with you are also annoyed by you because you dont stop.

Just stop. Talk about something other than RTK.

Blah blah blah RTK blah blah blah.

When you post something I generally agree with or find funny I will appropriately like it.

When you bully other posters and you and your little cult of circle jerkers gang up on a poster not just RTK I appropriately call you and your your bully cult out

I'm well aware of RTKs history on the boards I'm pretty sure most are, him being banned or ridiculous takes isn't a justification for being the target of trolling scheme, last o checked most if not all of your little cult have been banned at one time or another and lord knows we've all had ridiculous takes before, maybe we dont dig in as deep as RTK but still...

You can't waiver claim to put someone on the PS.  They have to agree to sign with you.   Waiver claims have to go to the roster.

My bad choice of words.  I should have said post waivers signing.

Go look at my posts since roster cuts started yesterday, I have been discussing football, others keep to choose brining it up.

Kind of like going off on a whining tirade against someone who calls you out for inferring another poster is mentally disabled under the pretense of treating them nicely? Based on this context, I’m inferring that you’re an ahole.

Autism isn't a mental disability.  Mental disability refers to an intellectual dysfunction.  Autism is a neurodivergency that may or may not be accompanied by intellectual disability. It is primarily a neurodevelopmental disorder. It is often described as being exhibited in terms of diminished social interactions.  No one should be internet diagnosing anyone here with any condition.

The way I see it is that people are a-holes to RTK.  Also, if you disagree with RTK and engage with him, he will say something that's an a-hole thing to say at some point.  That's when I stop engaging with him. I don't take it personally because it doesn't matter what someone calls me on the internet. So the next time he makes the same point or when he's on some rant, I just don't engage.  I respond when he does make an insightful post which he can do.

For a touch of perspective, I checked the 2021 defensive depth chart, and seven of those eleven starters were either free agents-to-be or are no longer with the team. The starters who fall into neither category were Graham, Hargrave, Slay, and Maddox. They extended Sweat soon thereafter.

My point is, it's all temporary. They were in the same position a year ago and I think a good argument can be made that the players we have under contract for more than one year at the moment are better and younger than what we had then.

We also have a boatload of draft picks.

In sum, I think we're better off than you think we are.
