  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

Prime candidate for a few extra void years with his 2023 salary becoming guaranteed if he plays well.

Yea, we’ll see how it goes. Fairly confident in saying he won’t be playing on that deal in 2023. Either it’s a huge flop and he’s gone or they restructure it to help lower the cap hit.

Yeah going to be all but a sure thing that Howie tries to flip that Saints 1st into some more picks via trade down.

Unless we can get Will Anderson. Though he is looking like a top 3 pick.

It’s one game and if it’s only 6-8 snaps, might as well let the guy just have a bye week especially since we are playing Thursday right after. He’s not coming in until tomorrow and will have maybe one practice under his belt.

You figure it out on ST’s weeks after. Point was it doesn’t make sense to take away from ST’s just for a guy to play 8ish percent of the Defensive snaps. If he’s playing 40/50 percent of the snaps then yea, take away from ST’s.

I just don’t see the point in trading for a guy to not play him. It’s not like he’s a QB or even a long term investment. May end up needing him.

Now that we know that, Eagles with rollover from this year will have 13.15 million in cap space next year.

Eagles have 6 draft picks, and 13.15 million in cap space to replace

Bradberry

Kyzir White

CJG

Sanders

Epps

Dillard

Hargrave

Semalo

TJ Edwards

Just FYI for anyone who believes this, the Eagles will have a lot more cap space in 2023 than $13.15 million.

The actual number is closer to $40 million.

Oh man, I missed that the Saints officially benched Winston for Dalton. Hard to believe a team would go all-in with Winston as their projected starter. It’s like the arrogant submarine captain in The Hunt for Red October.

Didn't realize that both Gannon and Wilson have been on the same team as Quinn.

Please tell me how that will happen ??

Can definitely see that happening.

He’s going to play, at some point, I’m just saying he doesn’t need to be rushed out this week. He’s already played more snaps this year with Chicago than any Eagles DE (68% of Bears total D snaps) and he played on Monday, and they play next Thursday. I just think at his age and the timing of this it’s more beneficial to let him take it easy just this week and let him go at it Thursday.

We brought Robert Quinn for big 3rd downs in January, not to get tackles on Pickett.

For starters, Lane, Slay and Quinn will not play next year at the cap numbers you are using.

Who cares about salary? Cap space is all that matters. Pretty sure the Eagles have the cash

This feels like a by product of no one else on Chicago’s pass rush needing a double team

Lower salary = lower cap hit

Yeah, he won’t be double teamed here much at all, so his impact will be far more about his specific production.

I’d say some posters in here only think of Longview as a great Green Day song (and they’d be right), but most of those posters aren’t that cool.

And other pass-rushers are good, so Quinn will get sacks by virtue of the QB avoiding them.

Perhaps, but I think that helps tell the story for the "He only has one sack” crowd.

If the Eagles end up at say, 15-2….is Howie the executive of the year?

I know a lot of HOF pass rushers who only had one sack…in fact almost all of them did
