Lol. Hopefully your mom is in good spirits and the chemo works. Sending prayers your way bro.

Thanks, it's appreciated!

Chemo's never a fun thing, but once it's done, spirits are lifted greatly and so far the chemo is holding the cancer in its tracks. It's not shrinking, but it's not growing. So that's good.

So, I think i remember getting ridiculed in some quarters for my support of Howie.

Like I said, he's best when team building and going for value, and learned from his mistakes trying to prop up a team past it's window of opportunity.

But 4-12 to 6-0 in two years AND NO's 1st this summer and their 2nd next summer. Hard to beat.

Every move he's made has both strengthened their chance this season but also was good value. No overpays in free agency or in trades, no bad contracts.

Sure, he'll have to do some more magic next offseason, but every team faces that problem - the NFL is a 3 year cycle.

The one thing they need to add is a RB who can pick up the blitz.

Regarding fourth round picks. Y'know, for every Todd Herremans or John Welbourn (actual successful fourth rounders), there must be a half dozen guys like K'Von Wallace, Trevard Lindley, Mike Kafka, Donnell Pumphrey, Shareef Miller, and Jaylen Watkins. Guys who make the team briefly and never really amount to squat.

Let's not all act like a late fourth round pick is some extreme draft currency. I would expect that a year and a half of Robert Quinn -- which is what I suspect they're looking at -- should offer greater value than what they'd likely select.

I'm cool with it. And yeah, the third day of the draft (4388 and counting) might be ultra boring, but I suspect there will be some maneuverings to whet our appetites enough.

It is certainly worth adding a piece to help get over the top when you feel you have a legit shot at winning the entire thing. Sometimes it works like in 2017 and other times not but you want to take the shot when you get it as you just don’t know when the opportunity will arise again.

wow, another middle school girls fight on TATE, bunch of stoggaf

LOL.  Good god are you dense.  You asked me that question because I was saying we needed to add an edge rusher.  You conveniently left that part out.  They did need to add one obviously.   I was right again.  You were wrong, again.

You can dig up posts all you want.  The original premise was we needed more from the DE position.  You keep bringing up the rotation with the whole DL, like the DT’s are going to fill the void on the edge.

You’re unbelievable.

i asked that question long after your discussion of Edge had died a quiet death.  Look at the dates.  October is not August.  You are long winded, but that exceeds your capacities.  Most importantly it exceeds the patience levels of anyone that I don't have on Ignore. They give up arguing with you long before two months hacve elapsed.

You are choosing to link the August and October discussions, but that is on you and no one else.  Bottom-line you are lifting your leg on the wrong pillar.

where you stuck your nose in and commented about the entire DL.  This is the post you responded to.

(A) I didn't respond to any post with my Gannon appear to be improving comment.

(B) That comment didn't mention "edge" at all.

(C) It didn't mention Jackson either directly or indirectly.

(D) It didn't mention you.

Get over yourself.

Regarding the Tarron Jackson,   I got you and BigEFly mixed up.  My bad.  Easy to do.  Two pillars who are often wrong.   Apologies.  But when he was cut, I said "pillars”.  You quickly came and got involved yesterday, so you can see how I assumed it was you.

Of course I can see how you assumed it was me. That comes with the territory.   However, if you had taken a little bit of time and actually read what I had to say yesterday, you would find that the team's record when you started the whole rotation back and forth with Hazleton in the middle of August was indeed 0-0. That is a fact.  it is also a fact that their record now is 6-0.  Circumstances have indeed changed.  So, when you chose to lift your leg, your aim was bad on many different levels.

Stuff it.  The discussion you reference was when the team was at (or close to) a 0-0 record ... as was every other team in the NFC.  Now they are 6-0 with the minimum of a game lead on all the other teams.  The depth needed for an all out SB push is different than the =depth needed in week one of a "make the Playoffs" year with hopes of winning a round or two in those Playoffs.

You really love to pick those nits.

It is worth repeating ... You are much more interesting when you talk about football than you are when you talk smack.

Anyone see this?  Domed stadium coming for the Titans.  Nashville wants the Super Bowl.  Their stadium is only 23 years old.  You have to wonder if Jeff Lurie is thinking this at some point.

Solid roster move

More solid DE rotation now.  If Jackson clears waivers, anticipating he goes to PS.

Hope not any time soon. The Linc is a beloved fortress.

Nice rendering though.

Interesting design. I like how it looks like a speaker from the aerial view.

To improve the team and offset the impact to Barnett's injury.

What does "all in" really mean?  He's not throwing away first rounders for HOFers like the Rams.  That looks like all in.

A late fourth round pick that you are probably already planning to recoup on draft day isn't pushing many chips into the table.

Great minds...

I’m referring to him playing Monday (24th) and then hypothetically this Sunday (30th) and then Thursday (3).

I work 5 days a week and you're telling me a football player can't work 3 days in 10? They don't make them like they used to!

Didn't even catch that.  All they need to do now is move on from the horrible uniform rebrand they did.  Why they don't take create a modern take on the Oilers old uniforms is beyond me.  I know they can't use the name but the powder blue, white and red was such a great look.

The original point was that the edge was short of depth and talent and Tarron Jackson didn’t do much To help with that.  You got involved asking me if I thought the DLine rotation wasn’t good enough.  Once again, it was more about the edge.

What’s really ironic is you calling someone else long winded.

No.  Your memory is once again faulty.  My D-line comment wasn't responding to you.  It was responding to ManuManu.  You then jumped in and added your two sense.

And yes, I am indeed long winded.  Always have been.  Always will be.

RTK already designed a dome stadium for Tennessee. Can't believe they copied his idea.

I agree with the color scheme. They should lean more into the music aspect of Nashville with their logo design or at least greek mythology. They are already named the Titans, and with the Parthenon playing a big part in that city's history (The Athens of the South), they could have had some fun with it. What they have now is just a thumbtack.

For starters, Lane, Slay and Quinn will not play next year at the cap numbers you are using.

Lane has a base of 14.15

Slay has a base of 17

Quinn has a base of 12.9

How are we going to take these and get to 40 million in cap room ??

Eagles reportedly interested in going after Alvin Kamara?

Seeing some noise on Twitter atm. What would it take? 3rd round pick?

I wouldn't put any stock in that.  Big contract, off field issues, devalued position, etc.

Something similar to what CMAC got I would imagine.
