Hard pass on Kamara, we already have Gainwell on the roster, who is great between the tackles and is a good pass catcher, except that they don't use him that often/Hurts goes elsewhere with the ball. If you get Kamara, Hurts will be forced to pass to him.

I wouldn't put any stock in that.  Big contract, off field issues, devalued position, etc.

Thinking that one was fake news... Our luck we trade for him then he gets his sspension

Gainwell is nowhere near Kamara's level. If Kamara is healthy he is a much bigger threat than even Sanders...behind this Oline.

I agree with not going after Kamara but having Gainwell is not a good excuse. That’s like saying to not go after Robert Quinn because you got Tarron Jackson

Anyone see this?  Domed stadium coming for the Titans.  Nashville wants the Super Bowl.  Their stadium is only 23 years old.  You have to wonder if Jeff Lurie is thinking this at some point.

Awful news.  Hate the death of the outdoor stadium that is consuming the NFL.

Something similar to what CMAC got I would imagine.

Yeah even half of a CMC payout would be bogus. Hard pass.

Hunt or Montgomery would be ideal. Or just roll with Sermon.

Also a much bigger contract.

the team that gets Kamara would have to pay him $632,500 this year and around $9.4 million next year.

Speaking of, he was released... if you do go after Kamara, who do you let go? Unless they trade a player off the active roster.

Howie deserved all of the criticism he got in here and in the media.  A large portion of the fan base wanted him gone.  It was well earned.  He’s done a better job, which a lot of people didn’t see coming.  He deserves praise now.  Depending on how deep we go and what happens with the QB position, I might have to eat some crow in here.   But to deny he made mistakes, is moronic.

No one denied he made mistakes, he tried to keep the window open too long, which was understandable in 2018 and 2019, and was too in love with the players who delivered the SB (there's a reason it's called the "Not For Long" league). He started hedging his bets in 2020. All GMs make mistakes, only a few learn from them.

But Howie has always learned from his mistakes, he came back after Chip and built a SB team in two years, he's done the same this time - the difference is he now understands that you have to resist the temptation to be overly optimistic about aging players bouncing back or to reach in the draft to fill a need. The draft picks the last two years were all value picks, BPA, the contracts to older players designed with an expiration date, patience in free agency, sticking to his reservation price, being opportunistic instead of reactive.

He's still going to make mistakes, that's inevitable, but I don't think he'll wear those green colored googles again, he didn't take 9-7 too seriously, didn't make big trades for veterans to get over the top - the only big trade was for a 24 year old WR, instead of drafting a 21-22 year old. The Quinn trade was a minor asset, same with CGJ. The trade up for Davis wasn't for need but BPA - he's a unique player worth the gamble. Didn't use the 2nd on Dean, took the player they targeted when he fell (Jurgens), then had Dean fall into his lap. Is prepared to let Dillard walk rather than sell low. Two great drafts b/c he let the board do the talking instead of forcing things.

I think Quinn will be similar to Long, coming off the bench with limited snaps will give him fresh legs, playing with Graham and Sweat and Reddick means fewer double teams. He's not the player he was, but will shine in a limited role.

And the rich get richer, Eagles ranked 3rd in pass rush win rate BEFORE they add Quinn, Josh Sweat 4th among DEs.

Dickerson leads OGs in both run block and pass block win rate, Lane 4th in pass block, Mailata 2nd in run block, Kelce 9th pass, 2nd run

Yeah way too much for an increasingly injured RB who will also in all likelihood be facing suspension next year.

I’d cut Scott but it’d probably be Sermon

I agree with you that Gainwell isn't near Kamara but Kamara isn't going to add anything to this team.  My hope is that we see more Sermon after the bye.  I think he has more potential than either Scott or Gainwell.  Gainwell has not impressed me at all.  He has had some nice runs where he gets through small holes but overall he hasn't shown much catching passes and he hasn't had any big plays.

He absolutely adds home run ability from the RB position on runs AND catches. Sanders is playing really well, but he isnt Kamara....especially behind this Oline and the threat of Hurts.

Moving for a Kamara or a Hunt feels like getting an early start on Sanders' departure.

I don't want Kamara's pending legal issues in the locker room.

Get me a Chinn or Peppers who at worst cover behind Epps & Gardner Johnson if you want to fill holes.

If Dillard get moved  get Chubb & a head start on DE next year.

Eagles reportedly interested in going after Alvin Kamara?

The account it came from is fake and puts out nonsense. I don’t believe that to be true.

Boston Scott is a decent enough back who makes plays on occasion, but does anyone actually think he’s not replaceable?

Any RB not named Sanders

He only beats the Giants twice a year....

Bills keeping it open

Not to be understated after all the handwringing that goes on around here and in @paco's stupid thread about cap space- Howie not only got the performance aspect of the deal. He not only got the Bears to pick up the tab on his salary this year. He is also likely to clear close to10M in cap space each year for the next 2 years for this 4th round pick.

In the NBA when you trade a pick for cap reasons, you arent usually the one getting an all star caliber player in return. Howie got the talent, AND the space. Its an absolute thievery.

People will complain that itll create dead cap, but we already know thats not really a concern.

You do realize how trades work in regards to the cap right?  Literally ALL of the guaranteed money is being picked up by the Bears.  The Eagles could cut him tomorrow and there will be ZERO dead cap.  And how do you figure this move opened up space for us?

I know you are clueless but holy s*** dude.  You really thought you had a point here, didn't you.

Boston Scott has not been good this year. And the Eagles basically have phased him out of the offense. Maybe it's the rib issue, but he's the one whose out if they acquire a RB.

Are you forgetting that Kamara is going to be suspended next year with your current push to trade for him?

Alvin Kamara is one of the very best players period in the NFL

Hell yes I would take him I would take him if he hits another girl too, cause I’m just trying to win games 😁
