Understood about the hamstring that is why I say sign him to the practice squad and then put him on injured reserve. That does not take up a practice squad spot and it allows them to work with him he’s a division two prospect with him would require lots of work but he’s an imposing physical specimen

I also find it amusing the phrasing the Eagles (Howie) used on the Reagor trade. I've never heard of a pick "de-escalating" if certain marks aren't met. In reality it's just a conditional 5th, but phrasing it as a 4th that can de-escalate sounds better. Funny enough, I think Howie could have just gotten a 7th and no one would care.

If you go by the stupid assumption that a team should hit on all their picks all the time. 

If you accept that every team misses you can start to appreciate us being able to get some return on our misses unlike many -if not most- other teams.

Or if you want to go by the reality that just about everyone had JJ as the obvious next best WR on the board.  Or that I was on that bandwagon the entire time.  Or you recognize that prior to Smith being selected in 2020, the Eagles were on roughly a 12 year span of not being able to find a WR in the draft that would amount to anything in the NFL, but sure ... let's hide behind the idea that there was no history of failure at the position historically and that 'every team misses' ... or that Reagor and JJAW were somehow the consensus obvious selections when the Eagles were on the clock.

Howie crapped the bed.  Fortunately, he was able to find a team dumb enough to give him something in return.

The trade of Reagor is a great thing, but it pales in comparison to the failure the selection was in the first place.  Brutal, brutal failure.
