There was no cap savings at all, we took on the remaining salary the Bears didn't eat.

The premise was that the contract was ripe with salary to be converted to bonuses.  Which would have cleared up cap space, and you and paco would have whined about the dead cap it created.

Paco agreed that his contract was probably our best opportunity to create cap space with. Right after ranting at me that they werent clearing at cap space.

Turns out we were both right that it could have been done.  And we were both wrong in that Howie has decided not to do that.

He's trying to look like he was right all along while he has said exactly the same stuff I said the whole time.

Ummm.. you also thought he had the best contract for restructuring.

Nice try.

You literally tried to say he was brought on as a cap savings move

Nelson stinks. Hopefully he is only pitching when the Phillies are up 10-2 in the 8th inning.

White flag nick. He’s like what clay condrey was to the 08 Phillies. Long relief when they are getting blasted to eat up innings.

I know.  But this is HE we are talking about.  You get brilliant posts like that and when he's completely destroyed just starts replying with "wrong".  No wonder why he can't get out of Hazelton.

The posts are all there for everyone to go back and read how stupid you looked when you ranted at me and then agreed with what I said in your very next post.

You can try to put it out of context all you want but you can't rant rewrite history that's already recorded on here.  You lost big and now your butthurt about it so you keep posting about me.  Sore loser.

I know you are too dim for nuance so I'm not even going to try.  Besides, I have to go and buy a thesaurus because I'm running out of new ways to call you stupid.

Look at the sentence before the part you boldest. You conveniently left that out. It said we could convert salary to bonus to make cap space.

Which you ranted at me for,  saying we didn't save cap space.  Then in your next post you said his contract was the best opportunity to convert bonuses for.

So you also agreed that it could be a cap saving move.  After ranting that it wasn't.

Now we learned today that Howie won't do that.  So you are just as wrong as me.

But we were both right that it could have been an opportunity. Little did we know Quinn doesn't want to be here next year.

You should try actually... because you are the one who is lost in this. But I guess it's hard to learn when you don't even realize what you don't know. And you won't listen when you are told.

I'm not sure that we can definitely say this.

I think it's more likely Howie didn't want Quinn to get hurt, and trigger 2023 guarantees.

And that's the too dim for nuance that I'm talking about.  In a vacuum, that is the contract with the highest opportunity for restructuring. That's if they want to keep him. I also said that its a terrible idea.  Funny you left that out, you moronic troll.

But either way, bringing him in DOES NOT ADD CAP SPACE you jacka**

Agreed.  We could only minimize the impact of his contract by converting it to a bonus.  Not create more room than we started with.

Bottom line, we would have had less cap space in 2023 after trading for Quinn than we had before the trade.

All moot now, though.

I dunno.  I was told by an ankle taper in Crystal Meth County that Howie specifically brought him in to free up extra money via magic.

Serious reply, I think his only guarantee was a small 100k workout bonus.

I'm in Phillies hype video heaven.

Brady lost his marriage over this disaster of a season, pretty wild.

You don't divorce someone for wanting to play a 22nd season after playing 21 seasons already.  She's getting a divorce because the multitude of scummy things people already know about Tom Brady is nothing compared to the additional scummy things about Tom Brady that only she knows.

The one bright spot is every time I hear his irritating voice saying "Let's go!" on the radio it conjures up an image of her saying that to their kids.

I don't care if it's going to be in the 40s. We are cranking up the outdoor fireplace with plenty of booze to watch game 1 outside.   The first time we did it was game 3 vs the Padres and watched every game like that since.

I'm happy Nick Nelson is on the roster. I was told by a dozen scouts and many general managers around baseball that he is the most talented reliever they've ever seen. Now granted, that talent needs to be fully realized, but I've heard Mariano Rivera with prime Kimbrel velocity from many scouts. That 105 mpg fastball is fire and that 99 mph slider is so nasty. He should close.

I didn't leave that out at all. Actually that's the last where I said in the OP that you would begin winning about the dead money out creates.

Catching on yet?
