So the Phillies could possibly clinch the World Series Victory on the same night the Eagles go 8-0.    I don't think the sports world is ready for Thursday Night.   I'm going to set up two screens (One on my computer) and one on my Television.   I won't miss a thing.

I’ll be shocked if the Phils sweep the next 3 games. The Astros are good and the starting pitching has to be way better.

Perhaps Howie doesn't see that as a need atm and so would a Hines/Hunt alone potentially put us over the top?

If they trade for Hines, I could see him asking for McLeod as a throw-in. He’d be fine as a third safety.

Except I'm pretty sure he announced he was quitting the board like a week ago? Where were all the eulogies then? Why are all the rats (like t-1000, acenova and their ilk) crawling out of the woodwork now to mourn him?

JR is a big boy, he had the ability to simply ignore 4for4 if he had that much of a problem with him. And that goes for everybody, if you don't like what a poster says, or the topic they raise, you don't have to respond. You don't have to "fight" back. Just ignore it and move on. 

I think many take this place far too seriously, and it is a great place to discuss not only football but all general topics, but my god, it's a message board at the end of the day, have some fun with it.

No, he's a complete schmuck that seems to make it his lifes mission to ruin peoples experience in here.

Everyone knows this is just a message board, but many have been interacting in here for over 2 decades, and did so because it was a pleasant way to kill some free time and discuss football, amongst many things.

For the most part, I think a lot of people have ignored it, but enough is enough.

My view going in to this season was one of optimism, but measured.

I told anyone who asked that I wanted just to sit back, make a season long, objective evaluation of Hurts and see where it goes.

While (like Afan) I am committed to still doing that, his play so far has been undeniable.

My expectations are starting to change...not only for Hurts, but for the team as a whole.

If this team stays healthy, they absolutely can win the SB this year. 

And yes, I think they can beat BUF and KC.

As true as this is, if everyone who had a problem with him would just ignore him he'll either leave or start making actual contributions. That's how you solve a troll problem. He loves the attention and he loves getting people riled up, that's all he's here for. So if you starve him of that he either changes his tune or he'll somewhere else to get that attention.

Interesting how some antics continue unchecked while others ...

On the old board a mod (yes, a moderator) crossed the line to attack me and (before I saw it) another member defended me and called the mod out on his hypocrisy. The other member got banned and I had to appeal to Dave to get him reinstated ... It took less than a day. I don't know what, if anything, Dave did regarding the mod.

Do we really need another CB?

I was also very critical of hurts going into this season and after week 1, but he's definitely improved a ton on not bailing from the pocket for no reason, keeping his eyes downfield when he does leave the pocket, spreading the ball around, and throwing downfield. We haven't exactly played a murderer's row of defenses (or offenses for that matter) but we're winning the games we're supposed to win and hurts is playing well.
