Maybe the patriots have changed their mind but this is from 4 days ago about Damien Harris. I have a harder time seeing NE dealing him at 4-4 and in the running for a wild card spot.

It is a shame that so much that shouldnt need to be said, now needs to be said in order to dispel so many logical fallacies that have been used, as well as pre-emptively fending off the ones you know are coming in response.

Length is also a deterrent. Some people who wont take the time to read it aren't worth hearing from anyway. It means they aren't willing to take the time to put any thought in, so the response will be lacking anyway. So I put it out there for those who are looking for the discussion. And for those that dont care enough, I enjoy the funny gifs too.

Honestly, if it came from someone who knew what they were talking about, I might have considered it.  But a post of that length from you?  Hard pass.

Kind of vague when he says two top teams. I’m guessing eagles are one of them. Other maybe bills. I’d say chiefs but he’s really what they have McKinnon (actually been good in his role this year) who tends to do a lot of what Hines would be asked to do.

I could see a team like GB if they got him cheap enough and NE to eat most of his contract. He’d still be better then most of the crap they have at WR right now.  Which is saying a lot about their personnel cause it’s agholor.

Our 2nd string could beat the Bears. The Titans are an inferior opponent but still have at least a chance against our starters. The Bears do not, in any way shape or form. I bet our cheerleaders could beat them in powder puff.

Titans aren't really a team to overlook.  They will be one of the few teams the Eagles face this year with a winning record.  Then the whole AJ Brown factor as well.

Chiefs lost to the Colts earlier this season.  Trap games aren't where you lose to other decent to good teams.  They are when you get overconfident, don't take the opponent seriously, overlook them and then get beat.

See losing to a bad Dolphins in 2019 while in the midst of a run to the playoffs late season. Losing to a bad Vikings team late in the 2013 season.  Losing to a putrid Vikings team near the end of the 2010 season when we could have gotten the #1 seed.

Never heard this before. Another thing that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Also @paco this seems to suggest it was a restructure and not a handshake deal to knock off the last two years, but I guess he still doesn't qualify for a comp pick.

The au pair for a stay at home mom is ridiculous. I agree.

However, we value our free time and we can afford to have someone clean and do yard work leaving us open to do more fun things with the kids and friends on the weekends. My wife and I both work extremely hard, routinely pulling 60 hour weeks. My daughter is only 14 and she works at Chick-Fil-A already, so we're not instilling a bad work ethic in our kids (our son is only 11).

We have a maid that comes once a week and I have a landscaper that does everything yard related. It was only in the last few years that we made enough money not to worry about those kind of things. It really is a nice luxury to have.

So I got about 15lbs of stuff this year

We bought 120 bars to give out.  Because of the rain we didn't even get through half last night.

Sucks for them.

But at least he will be fine. I dont need to see him in the combine to know he can get after the passer. And, its a pec so he will maintain all of his explosive ability. Shouldnt really affect his draft stock at all.

That's too bad - definitely would like Nolan here in the penny fronts across from Reddick.  Run a jet sweep I dare you.

We're probably about 8 years in. I could never go back. I value my free time more than anything.

Didn’t the bears just do that  with Quinn? Where they had to eat most of his remaining salary? Also looking at agholor’s contract he is a FA at the end of the year. So you are really just paying for the remainder of the year and what NE is forced to pay in the deal. He’s likely isn’t costing very much in terms of compensation and salary anyway.

Yes, but today, you can't do that.

Yes. But that ability cuts off at a certain point.

It can cut off at a certain point but agholor at a certain price would be worth it to them. Say what we want but agholor is better than almost every WR they currently have besides maybe Romeo doubs. So at the right price it actually makes sense. Frankly if i were GB I’d have gone after cooks and fuller. But I’m guessing GB doesn’t want to pay the compensation with what cooks is owed in 2023 and going forward

How do they even have multiple 1st round picks?

We moved into our new house in mid October last year and got invited to the neighborhood Haloween party.   One couple we met introduced us to their au pair.  A little later I asked the wife what she did for a living and found out she's a stay at home mom

This year, same party, chatted with the same couple.  They mentioned on Saturday how they saw me working on the yard for hours.  (I didn't get a chance to do it for two weeks prior due to us all being sick in here).  I said yeah, ended up with 18 bags of leaves so it took a while.  Their response: Oh wow.  That is a lot.  This is why we outsource that work..

Of course you do

They are nice people, but we are not the same.

I place an extremity high value on stay-at-home mom's.  That can be a full time job...and an important one.  But everyone needs to contribute something.  Stay at home mom + au pair is crazy.  It doesn't matter if you have Elon Musk money.  You've got to do something productive with your life and your day.

My best friend from college, a very bright and hard working guy (at the time), found out he inherited a substantial Hong Kong real estate fortune when he turned 21.  He quit his job.  He and his wife have 2 kids.  From their early 30's, neither works.  They have an au pair, a chef, and someone to drive their kids to school.  I have no idea what goes on in that house or how they fill the hours of the day.

It was my business partner that finally convinced me to do this. He used to ask me what I felt my time was worth. Then he would say that the cost of having someone come out and do these jobs was considerably less then what my time was worth, so why do I keep doing it. At first I dismissed him, but in the end he was right.

I’m guessing would have to be 2024 and 2025 firsts. Lions own their first this year. Add on burns is great but that doesn’t fix their biggest issue which is their oline sucks

I can think of a few ways I'd fill my day while the kids were at school. They both involve putting things in holes...either the country club's 18, or my wife's 3.

Read the tweet.  The deadline to do that was yesterday.  You could do it before 359 PM ET yesterday, not you can't.

Was not a restructure.  Eagles took on the vet minimum and the Bears ate the rest for 2022.

Eagles and Quinn agreed to eliminate the rest of his contract.  Eagles could have just cut him at the end of the year for the same result, just agreed to it now in essence.

I see. Even so agholor’s contract ends at year’s end and he’s gonna be cheaper than the alternatives. I’m guessing the packers if it cost a late round pick and only taking on 5 mil probably would do that type of move. The issue with cooks type of deal for GB is the compensation they have to give up for him and what the acquiring team is going to owe him next year. I’m not a huge agholor fan but for GB if it’s a 6th/7th round pick with conditions where it could be more I’d do it. He’s better than Cobb (hurt), Watkins (looks done), Lazard (injured), watson (rookie and injured again) and doubs (good)
