They have a good O-line. I think they have too many questions on defense.  That being said, I don't think the Eagles are going to blow them out like last season.  They are definitely better than the Bears.  They will have to get lucky to do better than the Vikings.

Teams I think clearly better than the Lions:

Rams

49ers

Packers

Eagles

Washington

Tampa

Teams on same level:

Dallas

Carolina

Arizona

Minny

Everybody else is worse, I think. So they'll be fighting for that 7th spot, but I think they make it.

That was me.  I have the Pit Boss XL Austin. It has the smoking feature and a high temp sear function.

I did a lot of research getting my pellet grill and heres what I came up with...

This dude Joe Traeger invented pellet smokers and the treager company(obviously)  Pit Boss basically invented the sear/high temp feature.

Joe was bought out and his non compete was up so he went to  work at Pitt Boss. So Joe and his brother have nothing to do with the current treager company.

So as it sits now, in my opinion, with my research, Pitt Boss is the best product and a little better priced across most sizes.

Thank you I will check this one out

What can Williams do best?

I think his biggest strength is to be a disrupter on the inside, lined up over C/G. I think his athleticism and quickness is better suited there instead of being lined up head up or on the inside of a tackle.  There's a reason that a lot of draft gurus compared his game to Aaron Donald.

Why not? That's my first question.

Williams is our smallest and quickest DT. I see him as a 4i in 3/5-man fronts, or 3-tech in 4-man fronts. Based on down and distance and against run-heavy teams, he'll play less on run downs and more on pass downs. I think 41% again overall is a reasonable expectation, considering that we'll rotate five DTs. If we go to a light 4-2 (or, if you prefer, a 2-4 with stand-up wide-9 edge rushers) it'll be Davis and Cox as the two down DL. My best guess anyway.

I just don't like him at the 4i being lined up over a tackle.  I know he's more in the G/T gap but I just would prefer him more inside.

Yep, kid was dropping dimes in that video.  It will be very interesting if we ever find out what happened with this situation.

It makes zero sense.   I mean, the kid must be a total head case on the order of Jeff George or worse, Ryan Leaf to get black balled like he did by this team after they gave him that huge signing bonus.   Makes zero sense.   No other team seems to be hot on his trail either from the appearance of things.   He might end up in the CFL and light it up.  Bigger field, more open space... his big arm will likely fit in great up there.

Not even our best back.  Move on, he doesn't move the needle or really impact games on a consistent basis anyway

Who is our best back?

Sanders is practicing today, so not sure what the panic is.

You don’t think the Saints can hang with Detroit? Their D is pretty stout and they hugely upgraded the WR and RB rooms. Is it contingent on Jameis’ health?

Cox shouldn’t even be on the team.  Much less be a captain.

Isn’t captain a leadership role? I don’t see why Cox getting older should keep him from being a captain. He’s respected in the locker room. That’s literally the job description

Who’s panicking? You trust him to stay healthy?

Missed 9 games the last two years, and has a hamstring issue, yeah, nothing to be worried about

Who is our best back?

This is my post from January, and its still 100% true today:

Gainwell is better than Miles Sanders right now, today. How about we actually play him at his natural position and let him be successful next year?

This is honestly my biggest frustration with this years team, the f'ing charade to soothe our FOs ego:

Minshew better than Hurts but we have to pretend Hurts is the future.

We have to pretend Sanders is some stud RB.  He isnt.

Lets pretend Reagor isnt an embarrassment, keep him out there even if the playoffs.

Lets pretend Barnett is a legit DE and not a consistent detriment.

I understand not having a full deck but we got away from making decisions based on giving us the best chance to win and instead made them based on the feelings and egos.

Sanders being so soft has got to open the door for Trey Sermon to come in here. It made no sense when Shanahan drafted him, and it's not surprising he didn't work out there. He could easily fill the Jordan Howard role here.

All that being said....I expect the announcement that we've re-signed Jordan Howard again any minute now

That won't happen until after the Lions game.

Yeah that's what I was going to get originally but someone on her mentioned pitboss was guys that made or started trager

PitBoss brought Traeger (the originator) in to help them with their machine, and got sued by the company that bought him out.

I have a Pit Boss and love it.  Got the one from Walmart (Austin XL model).   About $650 or so and it can fit 2 briskets and 5 racks of ribs all that the same time.  (Price has dropped to about $450 now!).    I've never done more than 6 racks of ribs simultaneously but it is really great.   Love it.  And I love the plate you can move to get a fire sear directly over the fire box.   That's a feature that Treagors don't offer.   Treagors do offer a bit more control on the temp, but I find that I can fine tune the temp just by having done some experimenting to find the hot spots and cool spots.   If I want 275... I just put the meat over by the exhaust pipe and set the temp to 250.  Works almost perfectly to get a solid 275.   For 225, same thing, but put the meat at the other end away from the exhaust.

The Pit Boss also has a higher max setting you can use than the Traeger and has a lower overall price point.    I highly recommend the Pit Boss.  I can't say its better than the Traeger, but I can say... I don't regret that purchase one bit.

So age and tenure is all that is required to be a leader?   You’ve seen leadership effort from him the last few seasons?   We should bring back Jason Peters to be a captain of that’s the case.

The captain thing is a joke anyways.  At a glance, I can not find one team that does not have the QB as one of their captains ( except for the teams that designate captains weekly )

I guess Dickerson is good to go

I also have a gas grill I use separately.

Captain is really just recognition of positional respect or tenure. Not being a captain in no way impedes a players’ leadership capabilities.

A lot of teams’ biggest vocal leaders are not even their star players

Wasn’t WENTZ and Hurts a captain their first years as starters?  What does experience and age have to do with it?   The whole thing is dumb really.

All QBs are made captain. I think it was Tua or Kyler last year who weren’t and it was a big deal.

Zach Wilson was a captain last year.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was a captain for Washington last year in his first year with the team.

I like the teams that do it weekly, seems like it is a reward for what you did the previous week.

Huh so we have an unfilled open spot?  Intriguing but I'm guessing it'll be a boring vet signing

We still have one open roster spot and one open practice squad spot. I'm guessing they are waiting to see if Taylor clears first for the PS and then whatever they do for the roster. Probably someone new, it wouldn't make a ton of sense to move up Covey/Allen/Cain at this point.
