Maybe they just wanna hang in the background and not alter the course of conversation. If someone gets out of line, they get a warning, or suspension eventually. I really could care less who Moderator 6 is, but I know that he's there. 

YOU PEOPLE need the Mods. 

It’s a thankless job… but I’m glad a few of these folks got suspended. I’m more of an observer, but do enjoying reading good takes on the state of the Eagles.

Because let’s say you get in a heated discussion with some seemingly random poster. Turns out he/she is a mod. Next thing you know, some minor infraction turns into you getting suspended. Instead we’re left to guess and be subjugated to the faceless mods. They’re no better than any other poster in here, yet they’ve been granted some level of authority for…reasons?

If Foles is starting against the Eagles, my guess is that it wasn't Saturday who made the decision.

I think I’ve used the report feature only once ever, in regards to ongoing racist comments being made by a poster (and it wasn’t even rtk).

Why not just do away with the report feature altogether. Would save you mods a lot of work. Or just ban it from this thread if that’s the bulk of it.

I don't know who any of the mods are, and I don't care.  Not my business.  I post on a message board and it's up to me to follow the guidelines.

If another poster upsets me, I will close my screen and do something else for a while -- talk to my wife, pester the cat, do some yard work.  If it gets to a point where dialogue with another poster becomes not constructive, I put them on the ignore list.  That's for their sake as well as mine.

I got warning points once in CVON.  I stopped posting in CVON for quite a while afterward -- seemed like the fairest thing to do.

Don't personally insult them when you get in the heated discussion.  I have never seen someone banned when there wasn't a clear violation of the guidelines.  I don't really like the banning of posters.   I would rather Bacarty, 4for4 and DUM were not banned from the board. I also don't like posters who ignore the content of a post just because they don't like who is posting it.

I reported all of the WU posters that invaded the blog until @Moderator5 told me to stop.  It was petty and marvelous.
