Yup Clifford blows.  I thought he had graduated. 

Purdue may have lost the game on a very Hurtsy throw when that WR was wide open and the weak armed QB needed too much arc on the ball allowing the DB to close a ton of ground.

Purdue just couldn’t tackle the PSU TEs.  Really like Joey Porter. Bet he declares.

Those throws aren’t important. The QB should have run the ball.

Now that we have ta full 53-man roster, it is interesting to contemplate the 7 game day Inactives.  My first projection came up with eight (8), which is one too many.  They are:

Ian Book
Andre Dillard
Josh Sills
Marlon Tuipulotu
Kyron Johnson
Josh Jobe
Josiah Scott
K'von Wallace

So which of those eight would you activate.

Also, since there are 8 O-linemen active (Johnson, Mailata, Driscoll, Dickerson, Seumalo, Opeta, Kelce and Jurgens) they can activate 48 players rather than 46.  My guess is that they let both Jobe and Scott rest their injuries and bring up Covey and Harris as the two additional game day actives.

Yes we do.

Suppose a guy or two gets banged up mid game. Then what? We had more than that a few years ago against Atlanta when Alshon and Jackson were listed as out moments before the game and we really struggled.

We are about as good on paper coming into the season as we could have expected/hoped back at the end of last year.

Plenty of upside.  It all depends on staying healthy and the rest is up to Hurts and his development (or lack thereof).

Was a good night for college football to get the year started off. That backyard brawl was great.

Really bummed about the Dillard injury. The whole point of not trading him was LT insurance. I guess Driscoll is first up if one of Mailata/Lane go down.

Dillard will be fine, maybe miss first month of the season. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

as far as injuries go this is about as easy as it gets.  He'll be fine.  allows them to bring up covey for the first few games to see how that goes as punt/kickoff returner
