  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Double cross... or they trade with someone else.  When it comes to a QB, I prefer not to chance anything.... take your QB at #1.

Another thing that you and I will have to agree to disagree on. Who is your number one QB for the Eagles in this coming draft?

I think it's just his spot on the depth chart

Again... too soon.

Couldn't be happier he's gone.   Couldn't be more upset that he ever came.

Wtf is happening in here? Arguing about Jason Peters trade value when Obama was still President, and arguing a call between two irrelevant NCAA teams? We got the Lions in nine days, people.

I haven't watched a Lions game in awhile

I think there could be some rust from Hurts since he barely played in preseason. I'm hoping that doesn't mean he'll just run a bunch

Hopefully Sanders is heathy

Googling Lions depth it appears they added speed at WR

Oline is pretty good on paper

Dline seems nice too. Wonder if the new unit is better against the pass or rush

No idea about their LBs or DBs

They also have Goff who I think isn't good

You sound like all my ex-girlfriends.

@LeanMeanGM  Are half games allowed in predictions?

How do you handle a tie?

The longer it goes unreported what the Reagor trade terms are, the more I'm convinced there aren't actual parameters

He'll be returning your packages this time next year when he's working for UPS cause he's no longer in the league.

The idea of 32 GM's, 32 Head Scouts, and 32 Head coaches(along with hundreds more) being wrong and someone on this board being right frustrates the piss out of me.

Except the info has never been more available

and the teams get stuff wrong all the time

I don't think it moved.  A hand came off but ball didn't move on the hand that possessed it.

The fact that it hit the ground and still didn't budge in that hand helps demonstrate possession even more so. Not less.

You say the ball moved.  None of the angles on TV that had very clear views of the ball showed ball movement.

Announcers mentioned hand came off. Mentioned ball touched ground. They thought it was incomplete.  But not even they mentioned ball movement.  It didn't. They,  and the ref, just got it wrong.

I could see where it could have been called a complete pass but I also can see where it was probably incomplete given that the ball did hit the ground.

He has to create ONE missed tackle.

He had 2 TD's on one possession, seems pretty dialed in to me.

The Rams are an interesting one. Because their cap is so top heavy, it’s loaded with rookie deals

that pass was clearly incomplete.

Any timeline for Dillard yet?

I love Will Anderson as a prospect.  My guess is, if the Eagles had a chance to draft him that they would play him at SAM?  As good as he is, he doesn't have the body to play DE in the NFL.  The Eagles just gave a very large contract to Hasson Reddick.

If the Eagles don't use Reddick to his strengths and he is dropping in to coverage more than he should and only has 5-6 sacks and are then in position to draft Anderson, I would have to pass on that.  It would be pointless to use a high draft pick on a player they would have no idea how to use.  Unless Gannon is gone and a new DC comes in and vows to be creative.  It would be almost as crazy as using the 10th pick in the draft and then trading a 1st for a WR followed by a $100 million contract when you have a run heavy offense.

I think Anderson compares to Von Miller.  He was around 240 coming out of college.  I think Anderson will probably be closer to that weight by the draft.  They are about the same height.  I agree it would be a waste if Gannon does not get production out of Reddick.  On the other hand, unless they're drafting a QB, the team shouldn't pass on an elite edge rusher and I don't think they would.

He ran for a TD and passed for the other I thought?

The fact that a player is a UFA doesn't preclude them becoming a top player. But the odds are against that, the odds are even low he makes a 53 man roster.

The fact that a player then goes through a NFL TC and is waived makes that less likely in the future.

After two TCs, if a player is waived he's unlikely to be more than a ST player and a deep backup.

After three TCs, he's a tackling dummy.

Point is the more information teams have, the less likely a player is to surprise.

Yes, plenty of unrestricted free agents have carved out a nice career.  Reggie White is a good example.

I agree, but I think this QB class is being overrated because it’s following the worst class in years. It has some good prospects, but no Luck or Burrow. Not even a Lawrence. That doesn’t mean one of these guys can’t turn out to be special, but you can say that about any QB class. At least right now I don’t see special with most of them. If I had the #1 overall pick as it stands right now I’d take Anderson and continue to build the roster until a QB you deem special comes along.

It's hard to know what to make of this class at this point.  No one thought Burrow or Herbert were elite prospects but they were definitely elite QBs last season.  I am not a fan of Bryce Young because of his size.  I think Revis has the best combination of athleticism and arm strength.  I would not put money on Revis being the better pro at this point.
