But watching this video pisses me off so much. Is this our world now or do Mets fans just suck total ass. Maybe it’s both. They are literally just standing there with very little emotion looking through their phones. Seriously, what in the actual ffuucckk. 

The fans should be going ape $hit. Jumping up and down like maniacs in sombreros, chugging tequila, chanting whatever cool nickname they gave him. Crazy.

I Fing hate the Mets. I Fing hate their fans. They are the Dallas cowboy fans of baseball. I hope that team blows it in the playoffs.

Watching Serena Williams lose is very satisfying to me.  She might go down as the greatest woman tennis player of all time.  She also could have won 40+ majors if she was actually committed to the sport. She also acted like a despicable a-hole on multiple occasions during matches towards her opponents and umpires.  Watching her call the chair umpire at the US Open in 2018 a liar and a thief was absurd, yet people supported her.  She always acts like an a-hole on court, like she hasn’t been there before. 

The top 3 tennis players of all time, who are all currently playing, are so much more respectable as humans and tennis players than she is. Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic are all much more impressive and must watch tv than Ms Williams, who clearly hasn’t cared about tennis for a long time.  I played D1 tennis and attempted a chance on the satellite circuit before my parents kicked me out of my house to get a real job a long time ago.  Just thought I’d throw that in there before some pillar throws in their opinion about wooden racquets. Thanks Serena!  I’ll watch Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic continue to destroy all of the young tennis players for as long as they need to, because it’s amazing. 

She’s human trash as far as I’m concerned.  Hard to name a person less deserving of the success and accolades that gets poured on her.

Graf is the best women’s singles player I’ve ever seen.  Navratilova is the best all-around women’s tennis player (although surely some HGH involved there as well).  It’s recency bias to believe Williams is anywhere close to their level, when she really only ever had to beat her own sister for most of her career.

Yankees fans suck too and are highly obnoxious as well. But at least they can claim to have won a title in the 2000s. Mets fans every time they are good they’ll say it is their year. Get obnoxious. Twitter this year since the Mets are doing well has been what cowboys fans did when they were good in 2014, 2016 and last year.

If you asked Graf or Navratilova who would win between Serena at her peak and either of them at their respective peaks, their answers would come very quickly ... Serena would beat them many more times than they would beat her.

You want the Eagles to have the competitive edge needed to win the Super Bowl, but you don't like seeing that competitive edge in Serena.  Go figure.

Anyway, even on his short runs with the 49ers, he shows more power than guys like Gainwell, and Scott. That is what we needed even if he is ONLY going to see the field as a short yardage back. I think he should be able to pick up a yard or 2 when we need it.

But if we can open lanes like we do for the other guys, and like he had in college, he may have a breakout year.

 

It looked to me like he did NOT run through contact but slowed and gathered himself. Did not like.

I saw that the other night and thought the exact same thing.  EVERY person looking through their phone rather than living the moment.  Like you said, the place should be going WILD.  I was expecting a sudden turn of crowd enthusiasm but nothing.  It's embarrassing.

Do you know how different the game is now compared to it was when Navratilova played?  That’s like comparing Aaron Donald with the guy who played both sides of the ball and painted houses in the off-season in the 60s.  Nadal, Federer, or Djokovic would also beat any champ from the 80s or before 6-0, 6-0, 6-0.  

Serena hasn’t had a competitive edge in years, and it has always been obvious.

Get serious.  They played with completely different equipment, court conditions, and technology — not to mention sports science and nutrition.  That’s why the discussion of putting players of different eras on the same court at the same time is completely irrelevant.  If I wanted to travel down that rabbit hole I’d say a prime Steffi Graf against prime Williams with the same equipment — Serena gets bagelled more often than she wins a set.  Graf, Navratilova, and Evert all had to go through each other (and MonicaSeles for a time) to win Grand Slams — who TF has Williams ever beaten?  She’s dominated a dead era in womens tennis; let’s all give her thunderous applause and kiss her backside.  Any athlete with class will defer (publicly) when asked if they would beat a player from a different era — that statement "they would tell you” is always nonsense and holds zero weight. 

Perhaps with a bit of additional thought you will realize being a fan of a team has different criteria than being a fan of an individual competing in an individual sport.  Go figure that you would actively cheer for someone who is objectively a piece of garbage as a human being with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.  I don’t give a crap about a person’s "competitive edge” when they are a despicable person.
