8 teams? What are you talking about?

Minnesota is a pretender, period.

They likely will not win a playoff game.

Contenders don’t get curb stomped at home the way they did today.

They absolutely do.

  • 1994 Eagles 40 49ers 8
  • 1992 Eagles 31 Cowboys 7
  • 2020 Saints 38 Bucs 3
  • 2021 49ers 31 Rams 7
  • 2018 Titans 34 Patriots 7
  • 2017 Seahawks 24 Eagles 10
  • 2016 Bills 16 Patriots 0
  • 2014 Chiefs 41 Patriots 14
  • 2008 Titans 31 Steelers 14
  • 2007 Vikings 41 Giants 17
  • 2011 Saints 49 Giants 24
  • 2003 Bills 31 Patriots 0

The at home bit is meaningless. Its 2022.

Haha nice edit.

But, ok. On a day that Minnesota got their face kicked in, you’re using that as evidence of their contender status.

Weird take, but sure.

We will see in January.

Yeah, I mean Minny is going to make the playoffs at this point.

But, they’ve been absolutely handled by Philly and Dallas and had 2 fluke wins against WAS and BUF.

They really could and should have at least 4 losses right now.

They’re just not a serious contender.

Yup the bears, lions and commanders all had chances to beat them and came up just short. The close wins are eventually going to revert the other way. It always does. Yeah it’s why i was hoping they’d beat Dallas. Their schedule coming up is vs. New England, vs. jets, at lions, vs. colts, vs. giants, at GB and at Chicago. I tend to believe they will lose at least 2 more of those games. I can see them losing to New England, lions (nearly beat them earlier this year), Gb and even giants or colts.

The two major problems with Minnesota is that Kirk cousins is super inconsistent when they need him the most. And their offensive  line when they face good pass rushes gets destroyed like they did today. I think their defense has some issues but really for the most part I think they’re solid.

To me Dallas schedule really opens up the next 4 weeks. They have vs. giants (thanksgiving), vs. Texans, vs. colts and at jags. They are going to be the favorite in every one of those games. Very likely win everyone of those games (although would be hilarious if they did lose one of them).

Dallas has their issues particularly against the run, but outside of the eagles and maybe SF (Jimmy G i think is their Achilles heel) when we are healthy I do think they have the most completely in the nfc.

You are saying they are pretenders and you can't come up with 8 contenders.

The problem is that its a parity league. Minnesota is still going to win their division easy and probably demolish a 7th seed.

I'm calling you out on your BS instant hot take that an 8-2 team really sucks.

No, you’re an idiot who doesn’t know what he’s watching.

Comparing a Kirk Cousins, negative point differential Vikes to some of the best teams of the past few decades is just dumb.

But, like I said, you’ll see in January. I’ll make sure to remind you.

Asked this a couple weeks ago but how do you have the NFC power rankings going? today I’d have it

1. eagles

2. dallas

3. niners

4. Tampa (i think that rams and Seahawks win gets them going)

5. Vikings

6. Seahawks

7. Giants

8. Washington

hypothetically if the Niners overtake the Seahawks in the NFC West, which I think it’s likely then there’s a possibility if you don’t win the NFC East, that you’re going to be the five seed and have to play either the Niners or Tampa Bay on the road in the first round of the playoffs. Winning the division is huge this year.

5 winning records and (most likely) five playoff appearances in the last 6 season.

It's a shame that the true measures of a franchise are missed draft picks and dead cap money.

The Giants or the Falcons are going to limp to the 7th seed and kill the Vikings in Minnesota?

Yeah, good luck.

Classic Transference

For the final time tell us who all the real teams are.

You are going to remind me in January when NY or Atlanta lose by 17 in Minnesota that you were dead wrong.

Sure, have fun.

You can make Cousins jokes all day but look at the QBs remaining on their schedule.

Teams better than Minnesota?

Philly, Dallas, SF, KC, BUF (yes, BUF), TN, Tampa just to name a few.

Now, tell me how many of your all decades teams had a negative point differential after 10 games?

Of all the potential discussions / debates I anticipated today, the one using a 40 point curb stomping of Minnesota as evidence of them winning the SB this year wasn’t one of them.

Yet, here we are 😂

Miami is better than the Vikings. They lost cause tua was out and bridgewater didn’t start that game.

The Bills / Lions game on Thursday might get to 100 points combined.

I think @FranklinFldEBUpper posted about long FGs against us over the years but I’d be curious to know the numbers of 50+ yard field goals against the Eagles versus the league average. It feels like opposing teams are hitting those at a 90% clip against them.

@BDawk_ASamuel   Took me about ten minutes. From 2010 through the first ten weeks of this season, including postseason games, NFL kickers have made 1257 of 1988 attempts from 50 and beyond. That comes out to 63.229%. Eagles opponents have made 36 of 57 attempts. That comes out to 63.158%.

Virtually identical.

My issue hasn't necessarily been with the 50 yarders. It's the really long f'n ones that are out of whack.

There were some good things in this game, momentum-wise, for the rest of the run. The Dline could become a monster and there is clear pressure on the coaches to expand the playbook now that teams have seen enough film on the RPO. Even though it was an ugly win, I feel good about this team especially given the players that will come back from injury. The Oline needs to clean up its play -- they are surprisingly sloppy in missing assignments, IMO

The fact the bills score 31 points today and Allen didn’t have his best shows how good they are and how bad the browns run defense is. I don’t think allen’s elbow is right. Watching some of that game he was really inaccurate again this week. His under 10 yard passes were more of the issue today then his over 10 which was reversed last week. It might not show up in his statistics but balls he normally routinely puts it in the right spot are sailing on guys, too far in front or behind. Guys make some of the catches but they aren’t going for as big of yardage as when he was healthy. One of the former NFL doctors talked about his elbow saying accuracy would be the biggest issue based on where he thought the injury took place. unlike in baseball where that injury takes place it effects more of the velocity

Surprisingly uncharacteristic performance by them. I thought they looked better late in the game but the first three quarters had penalties and were getting beat at the point of attack. Last drive they actually really took it to the colts particularly when sanders ran the ball. He had some nice lanes.
