Miles Sanders is average, maybe even below average.  Massively overrated by this fan base, I assume because hes a Nittany Lion.

Go ahead and check a bunch of other NFL rosters and tell me with a straight face Miles Sanders is better than half of their starters.  Hes not

We’ve lived through the Josh Adams era, it can be much worse.

Is Ben Simmons going to play against the Jags?

No he’s likely gonna sit out after getting his feelings hurt tomorrow

Miles Sanders won't be here next year. I think it's somewhat likely the entire RB room is different next year. Sanders will go for comp pick purposes and the Eagles will draft a RB in a pretty good RB class. As they should. Said before, no team should ever re-sign a RB for big money in the modern NFL unless they're Adrian Peterson in his prime caliber. Don't waste cap $ on RB. Ideally, you could draft a RB in the mid rounds, develop them, and flip them for a day 2 pick every 3 years and start again.

As far as Quinn goes, he’ll really only be effective when we have a decent lead and he can pin his ears back and just rush the passer. I think he had some nice pressures in the Pittsburgh game if I remember correctly. The last two games haven’t really played into why he was brought in.

And people massively overrate draft picks in here. A 4th rounder is really nothing to give away.

Not only is the RB draft class looking superb, the free agent RBs are the highest quality we’ve seen in 30 years

Sure it is. 4th round is our sweet spot to waste it on a terrible player (minus 2018)

I think with the athleticism of these backs now a days you could pretty much plunk 90% of the RB's in the league and make them an RB1. You may have to change scheme, run style, play calling, etc but it finding joe blow off the street and them becoming a really good RB1 for a couple years happens all the time

With a good OL and opportunity, joe blow will likely be productive. There’s a whole bunch of things that can make RBs still productive when the team isn’t carrying them. I like to focus on ball security, pass blocking, route running and hands, how they follow their blocks (vision) aside from the normal factors like power vs elusiveness vs breakaway speed that stand out.

We had no DE depth behind Sweat and BG.  It was more of an insurance move rather than an impact move.

We are making progress.

Andy used to burn third round picks like matches.

@FranklinFldEBUpper

i noticed that the Eagles had Scott as the KOR in the Colts game.  While Covey was on the injury report, he was healthy enough to be the PR.  I wonder if the Eagles are fed up with teams kicking short and Covey not making the 25 yard line.  Scott’s 21.6 yard average is 1 yard higher than Covey’s 20.6 yard average.  Thoughts?

Agree, and the way football is going these college kids are forced to learn pass blocking and route running while 10 or so years ago they didnt.

The kid from 'Cuse comes to mind. runs well. passes well. He'll never wow you but he's just incredible well rounded. Probably get him in the 3rd.

Tucker? He's a freaking track star. Kid has incredible speed.

If he can’t do hurdles I don’t want him

I've never heard that. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Sean-Tucker-RB-Syracuse *EDIT* unsure of his track background, just knew he didnt have a blazing 40 or was some type of low 4.4 guy

I think he's a good running back. a good pass catcher. a good route runner and a good pass blocker.

Looks like he'll go in the 3rdish

And although I hate OSU, and I never want an OSU QB on my roster, I will take any one of there running backs as most are taught to pass protect and route run, day 1 off learning that offense

A former 55m, 100m, and 200m sprint champion, Tucker has legitimate track speed. As we've seen before, that doesn't always translate to the football field, but in the Syracuse RB's case, it most certainly does. -Pro Football Network

Need to be somewhat cautious with RB next season. Can't depend on a 4th rounder, Gainwell and Scott.

Not suggesting spending a first or giving Sanders big money, but we need to be smart about it.

I did not know that and when I've watched the Cuse games i never thought he was the fastest guy out there. was more impressed with his fluidity of route running which is what we need here with SS/NS and this offense

Sounds like he has great acceleration...as a 55m champ. I prefer that over straight-line top speed. Going from 0-60 faster is more important than being able to hit 65.

Carr has an out after this year. But still has 3 years on the deal after this year if not cut. Rodgers has multiple years left now after the extension

I am confused.

Oh ok. I thought Rodgers signed a 3 year deal and his was over

Counterpoint to hot take Cowboys are great now and Vikings were exposed as frauds.

Buffalo exposed Tennessee 41-7 in week 2

Tennessee is 7-1 since being exposed and Buffalo is 5-3 over the same period.

There was no exposure, just overreaction. It was a football game and nothing more.

Packers gave Rodgers a new deal this summer.

He will break the franchise if he retires before the start of the new league year.

It will be somewhat manageable if they can trade him to the Jets. (only they are desperate enough to take that guy)

These soccer players sure  fake injuries a lot.
