For the first time in a decade (excluding the entire 2020 fanless season), I am not going to be able to attend a home game that actually matters. I skipped the finales against Dallas in 2017 and 2021, the former because of the flu and the latter because no one cared. I came down sick more than a week ago. Covid test came back negative thankfully. I’m improving considerably but am still not up to where I need to be. Hope to be back for the Titans game. 

The fact that the weather figures to suck all day kinda softens the blow I guess.

This is where that click-bait headline comes from. As far as I can tell, they aren't having conversations with Hurts (Are they even allowed to?), they are having it amongst the FO.

Will this be a Mahomes type contract… a couple years of cap breathing space in exchange for a loooooong (and expensive) commitment?

Hurts can't be re-signed until after this season, but as far as I know, nothing would prohibit the team from discussing perameters of a deal amongst themselves and Hurts agent(s).

That’s a major problem.  Was with Wentz as franchise qb too.

Howie works miracles with trades and FA signings.  When up against the cap and in need of leaning on draft picks, Howie consistently falls short.

Oddly enough, arguably his best draft was the Wentz draft.  Last years has some potential...if they somehow can keep Smith past his rookie contract.  This most recent one has a little promise, if Jurgens ends up being a capable Kelce replacement.  Kinda feel bad for that kid drafted to replace a legend.  Outside of that, Howie's drafts have been absolute disasters.
