Yes Jerry Jones is clearly the exact same person now as he was….65 years ago? At a time when racial division was literally a division.

And because of that you think what…the cowboys players are just gonna give up as an f you to Jerry? Lol

Like I said before, the cowboys love controversy. More than any other franchise. These aren’t distractions at all to them.

That's like saying he won't get hit on runs if he just goes out of bounds every time.  I would guess that the percentage risk of an injury to a player even a QB is far less.  I can't recall a QB ever getting injured on a sneak.  QBs get injuries all of the time in the pocket.  I would guess that even if you take away sacks Hurts gets hit more in the pocket vs. the number of times he sneaks the ball.  Also defensive players have much more momentum rushing the passer than they do during a sneak, so the force of the impact is much greater.

Not trying to defend Jerry but this was so long ago.  Nobody knows how he truly feels.  Maybe he was there to help block the black students or maybe he was just there out of curiosity. Regardless, this and Kyrie situations were different and one was recent while the other was 50-60 years ago.

Reading that article I did find one thing interesting.  Lebron has always been identified as a Cowboys fan and now he's not anymore.   Good for him.  At least that's one smart thing he's done.

Depends how long the QB is holding the football in the pocket.  There is always a debate on which is more dangerous -- passing from the pocket or running outside the pocket.  In the end it's not where the QB is; it's how long and how often he's holding the football that's the inherent risk.

Andrew Luck got injured a lot because the playbook called for him to hold the ball and wait for downfield plays to develop.  Same with Joe Burrow.  Same with Carson Wentz -- all pocket passers with injury histories.  Meanwhile, guys like Brady, Manning (2X), Rivers, etc seldom if ever get injured from the pocket because they distributed the ball quickly.  Cam Newton, Michael Vick, etc., got injured because they held the ball while running with high frequency.

Whether you like it, agree, or don’t….it’s not a nothing story. Especially in the world we live in now.

Like they did a couple weeks back with Taylor, Henry will be stifled this week, as he hurt his foot a few weeks ago and isn't right. He's rushing about 2.5 yards per carry since, with no more than 87 yards in a game in that period. Eagles do what they have to do and win 28-17. Quez Watkins with a long TD and Suh with a strip sack.

Ok.  That's one.  There have been more QBs injuring their hands by hitting helmets on their follow through.

Some here are over-weighting the risk of a sneak to support their point about Hurts' run volume.  It's not necessary.  All but a couple of Hurts groupies would agree that he is running too much without the sneaks.

Sneaks are a very low injury risk play.  They are brief and the players (with the very rare exception) don't gain any real momentum.  The QB is almost never struck with any force.

I don’t think kneel downs would account for an inflated number. QB sneaks are more risky than a kneel down, and i don’t think they should be discounted. It’s another blow that he’s taking, with bodies piling on as well.

Id much prefer he run less, but there are times and games where it’s clearly been our best option. If we want him to be the long term answer, he’s gotta lower those numbers. If we don’t have long term plans for him, let him run to his hearts content 

Hurts has improved at protecting himself. Sliding and going out of bounds much earlier.  That said, at some point the stupid frigging refs have to call some of the late contact on slides.
