I mean when you have the talent we have on offense, you'd be happy with a top point guard, you don't need Michael Jordan. Hurts doesn't have to carry this team, he has to make the plays he should make, and a half dozen times a game, use his legs to make key 1st downs and keep the defense on edge. No 40 yard deep outs across his body, no 60 yard laser throws, just hit the open man and throw the ball away or run for positive yards when there's nothing there. I don't want ESPN highlight plays, I want cool, consistent efficiency. Now, will we get that? Well, that's why they play the games, or Vegas could just pay out the bets and skip the season. The current team with Hurts at QB is a playoff contender. The current team with Herbert at QB is a Super Bowl contender.

Yea, his contract will be guaranteed but why not just stay on the Eagles PS then and then get poached week 2? I kind of think he was signed as CGJ insurance in case it didn’t look like CGJ could move to S and they have seen enough to let Harris know he isn’t in their plans as anything other than a PS player.

But most teams won’t want to pay a vested player salary of three weeks for a short period so virtually the same.

Unless he and his agent are grossly overvaluing his worth. Actually, I wonder if it is an Eagles ploy against an offset on the guarantee they gave Harrris to sign. With Howie, anything is possible. After all, he is the most distrusted GM by agents.

Advertisements, a few stickers and a key chain schedule which no one uses anymore with this new technology called cell phones. Do people give them feedback on the gifts? What would be worthy swag?

The best gift they ever gave us was in 2018 when they gave us commemorative playoff and Super Bowl tickets from the previous year. I made four separate framed items out of them. I have mine hanging on a wall in the basement. Usually they give us crap. This year was probably the worst. I still don’t even know what that little squishy thing is supposed to be, but I’m sure it cost them less than a nickel to make.

They have a hard schedule, new coach, looming suspensions and injuries and I dont care what anyone says, Jameis STINKS! He's gonna throw 15-18 INT's. He's either good or he really sucks with mental issues. He had a few good months before he got hurt and suddenly all that is behind him? OK..

The gift was actually part of my survey this year. I gave him a 0 out of 10 and put my comments that they're totally crap

Tua on the other hand was put into a bad situation with his head coach since Flores didn’t want him, the Dolphins hired out of retirement Chan Gailey to be his OC, plus Tua was coming off the same injury that Bo Jackson had. None of it means that Tua would of been good at the right place, but we’ll never know. Then there is Herbert, he’s the rare QB that’s actually better in the NFL, than he was at college. Give em a decent O line, a QB room with some Veteran leadership and a decent Coach in their ear and a lot more of these young guys would probably succeed. Trubiskey is a case in point. Tua as well. Even Andrew Luck, a wonderful talent, was stymied by a sh!tty O line and lack of continuity coaching. We know how that worked out. The State of the Team they land on is all important. Drafting a QB is the easy part. Some are NFL ready, but not most. Mentoring, teaching, tweaking technique and mechanics falls to coaching. ...and don't let em get killed every time they drop back...
