I think my college RB crush is going to be Auburn's Tank Bigsby.  Guy has a running style I love.  Plus, who doesn't want a RB named Tank.

Looking at the Lions depth chart, I don't see how they stay competitive.

The D Line has to be better at getting to the QB. Plain and simple.

I’m by no means an expert but I’d suspect Jim Johnson’s defense would be particularly tough to run in today’s NFL. Since you can’t breath on QBs or WRs.

Just two seasons ago Jim Schwartz’s defense had no issues getting to the QB, but overall his defense wasn’t very good.  Gannon’s defense not only couldn’t get to the QB, but when the Eagles played against a decent QB in Carr, they gave up 90% completions.
I don’t know what Joyner believes every modern defense should look like, I don’t live in the Philly market to hear him talk about it on a weekly basis, barely a yearly basis.  I put his Tweet on here because I know others here enjoyed that defense from Buddy’s time, that’s really about it.  Yes I remember how they did the playoffs.
Apparently an ass face here has an issue with people listening to Seth Joyner since he ran his cawk licker about it.

@RLC if the game has passed former players bye, should I throw out this opinion ??

Translation, he doesn’t like Hurts so we shouldn’t listed to his opinion.

That’s the thing, I have no idea who Joyner likes and doesn’t like, sort of, he does like Fletch, but don’t put him in Jerome’s category since Jerome played every snap, not 60-65% of them.

How are people still listening to Seth Joyner in 2022?

He was an All-Time Eagle great and hasn't changed his opinions or attitudes to please others.  He shares an old school tough nosed mentality that many still want to see from football players and he doesn't tiptoe around things.  In other words he hasn't sold out to make people happy.  He speaks his mind and tells it like it is.  He still has a huge passion for the game.  He's not always right but no one is.  He's 100% a football guy.

I was pretty bummed out watching ESPNs College Gameday this past Saturday.  Used to be a Saturday tradition for me to wake up, put on Gameday and be glued to the college game until the night game.  What ESPN trotted out as a pre-game show was an absolute embarrassment.  From the token woman to Jack Harlow not even knowing what teams he was picking or why it was all around bad.  Gameday has always been entertaining because of the comradery of Desmond Howard, Rece Davis, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit...but they still talked football and gave you a deep dive in to the day of games ahead.  Now, they are trying to create entertainment and it comes at the expense of a good college pregame show.

I posted the NFL hype video and joked about white men no longer being the demographic but I think there's a lot more truth to that then not.  Almost all programming surrounding the game of football and sports in general is looking to appease an entirely different crowd then true majority who have grown up supporting the leagues with their pockets.

I noticed him last year in the game against Penn State.

Hes god solid speed, and he is a really strong runner. Hes got + size. Not overwhelming size, but he just runs tough.

I loved him if he would have been in last draft where we were looking for that skillset to complete our RB corps.

Now, I think we may be looking for a lead back to replace Sanders.

I still like Bigsby a lot, but I dont see him as that well rounded bell cow back. I see him as a more one dimensional lead back that needs to be platooned when you want the added threat of a pass catcher.

In a draft more rich with more skilled RBs than last years, to me Tank is a 3rd or 4th rounder. He is a slightly faster Hassan Haskins.

Ill take him there. But I kind of hope the eagles get someone more talented like Chase Brown, Sean Tucker, Charbonnet, Gibbs....etc

If anyone has an issue with Joyner saying he’d like to see the defense be more aggressive, then it’s obvious that person has no clue what they’re talking about.  The defense last year was not aggressive at all.  No one is saying it needs to be Jim Johnson, blitz happy aggressive.  But not a gutless zone like it was last year.  That’s all Joyner is saying.

Haha Was just trying to start a convo. And if you post anything in here there’s a few wise guys who get off by being condescending and probably sniff their own farts.

Maybe but was a pretty quick on his feet response back at him. If i were going to respond back to him i personally would’ve said something like "sorry we got blocked on the way in here”

Chase Young is a freak. There aren’t many defensive players in the league who can take a game over but that guy could. Hate that he’s in our division.

What kind of ovation does Wentz get when he comes back to Philly in November?

He goes back to Indy at the end of October.  Word is Irsay will retire his number and give him a gift card from Pfizer at halftime

Would be cheaper just to give him a free Covid vaccine

Most likely.  I'd actually like to see him get a nice ovation just showing some appreciation for his part in helping win the SB.  Doubt it happens.

You know my comments aren’t directed at you, cause if they were…, we’d have to go to R&R to settle it, so no one gets in trouble.
I also don’t meet up for fisticuffs, unless a rest stop, a stick of Pepperoni, and a jar of mayonnaise is involved….   Including Miracle Whip!!!
