@RLC if the game has passed former players bye, should I throw out this opinion ??

Yes! Never believe any Eagles employee, especially Spadaro. Reese isn't an Eagles employee, but in practice he is.

Fran Duffy does great Xs & Os, but he's also not allowed to rip the team. You can tell which players he doesn't like by the ones he doesn't gas up though.

Yes, Reese, Spadaro, Duffy, all of their opinions are no more than that, opinions.

Former players, their opinion carries weight, and should be listened to.

I'm surprised we're only -200

There's a lot of decisions they did I disagreed with: resigning Cox, giving any money to Joe Flacco, signing any veterans last year in general in what should have been a rebuilding year, not getting a legitimate #2TE, not trading Ertz at the 2021 draft, etc.

Hey those millions to Flacco netted us one of our thousands of CBs last year.

Unless the player is still involved in the modern game, no. I'm sorry, but I'm not taking Michael Irvin or Terry Bradshaw seriously.

Perine and Sinnett gone.  Keene added.

So this should not be taken seriously at all ??

No, that's an absurd take. Jalen Hurts is more likely to be a backup on another team next year, let alone our starter, than anything else.

It was a mutual decision to move on, though.  Before Doug was fired he expressed the intention to move forward with Hurts as the starter for 2021.  That PC Howie and Doug did where they said Wentz leaving would be like "losing a finger" .... well, Howie might be a leper -- because Doug and Wentz were both gone shortly afterward

It was definitely odd how all of that turned out. My take was Doug was sick of Howie making all of the decisions. Lurie stuck with Howie because he didn’t want another Chip Kelly incident. They realized Doug and Howie were just never going to coexist. Eventually the same thing will happen with Siri if he has success.

Wentz was just a bish and blamed everything but himself. It’s a shame because Philly as a city wasn’t ready to give up on him. I said this a year ago, Wentz ultimately will say that wishing his way out of Philly was a mistake.

Makes sense once Book and Sermon were successfully claimed. No need for 6 RB's or 4 QB's.

Only thing that is weird is the open spot on the 53. I figured they would just promote someone from the PS but this suggests they are going outside to try to fill that spot.

I think more than not folks felt he quit on the team due to his ego and will be treated accordingly.  The sulking and refusing to talk with Doug, and Doug’s willingness to tolerate it, cost Doug his job as much as his play calling fading to predictability.  I think Doug will be greeted more cordially.

I didn't like how things ended.  Wentz has some blame in that but I'd still like to see the crowd show him that hey thanks for your part in the SB run.  Then they can boo the **** out of him the rest of the game.

Also like to see Doug get some appreciation as well.

Jason Peters......probably won't happen because of who he is playing for.

And the front office contributed mightily to the Wentz situation, as they now have admitted getting rid of JJAWful, and Howie admitting the Reagor mistake.

Speaking of, did we ever get a take from @austinfan about his hero admitting he blew it.

That's it? Here I was thinking it was the one listing all of his weaknesses from college that he still has

Have you seen him try and be a QB ??  He does plenty wrong.

I liked Keene as a prospect, but was stunned he was drafted in the third round. I think he’s a more talented version of Stoll, with the versatility to play some fullback if needed.

It's not true anyway.  He was beaking on the sidelines after Doug took him out for Sudfeld -- even when that was pre-arranged.  I don't think he's going to be stonefaced if Sirianni has to pull him for performance at any point this season.

It wasn’t the FO’s fault that Wentz was so bad in 2020. Yes, having Greg Ward as your number 1 WR for 2 seasons is far from ideal but he just completed schatt the bed that season. Then threw a hissy fit when he got benched.

With what they were paying him, he was going to be the starter heading into 2021.

He is a slightly faster Hassan Haskins.

Ill take him there. But I kind of hope the eagles get someone more talented like Chase Brown, Sean Tucker, Charbonnet, Gibbs....etc

Disappointed Charbonnet went back, like Blankenship (who I wanted) a year earlier.  Here's to history repeating, though I don't see the UCLA kid as a UDFA kid.🙂
