Boy are you confused. Let me catch you up and then ill wash my hands of it because, you are right in that it has occupied too much time and blog space.

First, a drop kick can be used as or in place of a Kick off, a punt, a FG attempt or point after so what the intention was irrelevant. It only matters if kicking the ball met the criteria for a legal drop kick.

Initially I thought it did. But I don't presume to know more than the refs and if they got it wrong the league would have already said so. I read the rule and as I read it, it seemed to me that it should have been a legal drop kick. I couldn't find a satisfactory explanation and so I asked in the blog. Iggles_Phan responded but I felt his explanation was inaccurate and posted the rule. A few posted that I was misinterpreting the rule so I looked further and found that I was right and I was wrong. The ball can be kicked legally after it bounces while it is ascending. The league stated that Tuckers drop kick was illegal because he didn't kick it before its apex - their words not mine.

I'm done, everyone thanks for playing.

Lol, still so wrong.

There is a bit of Anderson fatigue out there and UGA is having a better season than BAMA, the mock experts are going to mix things up a bit.  At 5 I'm happy with either one and I'm not going to delude myself into thinking we'll have a choice.

That's kinda what I'm sensing as well. Anderson also didn't have his best season. Not talking about just sacks. If I remember right he had 4 penalties in that Texas game. Some bad decision making earlier in the year. Probably was pressing too much worrying about his sack numbers

I’m curious. Suppose a running back has the ball slip out of his grasp at his own thirty yard line, and as he attempts to regain control of it, his foot impacts the ball the instant it hits the ground. The ball the bounds forward five yards where it is recovered by a teammate. Would you argue that this should be interpreted as a failed field goal attempt of about eighty yards — which fell short by only about seventy five yards — in which case the defense should get the ball at the spot of the impact with his foot?

Wouldn't really be an argument if queen b just admitted he was wrong

I would do cartwheels if we got either one … and I can’t even do a cartwheel.

Nivraga - "It depends if the ball was still ascending to its apex or not, and if it was on the correct y axis”

10 sacks in a 'down' year, not too shabby.  Fast forward, folks will be questioning Carter's production in a couple months because they don't understand UGA's scheme.

When Jalen Hurts plays like garbage on a bad team:

"The team isn't good" "It's his rookie season" "He has intangibles" "He has a different OC" "He needs time"

When Justin Herbert goes off for 5000+ and 38 passing TDs on a bad team:

"He sucks" "Can't win" "Cousins is better"

Not at all. He turned up his production around the halfway point

They're not even in the same category. Herbert has been a stud since day one

We are going to bring back BG next year as our old guy DE, right?  If they can pay Fletch $14M, they got to find the money in the couch for BG.

He better take a big pay cut and be ok with a Chris Long type roll

That's the assumption - he's just about there now.

The way they have utilized BG this year has been perfect. So much better than Derek Barnett as a rotation DE. Was thinking about all of those stupid penalties we don't commit anymore. Bye Felicia. Want BG, Suh & Joseph back as good depth and cheap vets. Should have kept McLeod this year in as a nice cheap backup.

I loved the idea of a group of young coaches when Sirianni and the Eagles put the staff together, but with bright and hungry young coaches who are upwardly mobile you have to have a pipeline.

Gannon got a couple of interviews last cycle and will get at least 2 again this cycle.  Steichen might get an interview or two as well.  I don't think it's a given either will be hired as a head coach quite yet, but it could happen.

Hopefully someone hires Gannon this time

@Bacarty2 your boy Hasty didn’t do very much in a big Jax win?
