Not saying he's elite but he's above average for sure.  GOOOOO PSU

Is he?   I think hes firmly average.  Probably right in that 15-20 range if I had to make a list.

Maybe I will and we can all fight about it

No, you said that the people making fun of Hurts are the same people who said Sanders was a bust.

Again with the overreaction.

Not sure how many people called sanders a bust. What people had an issue with was the fact he would get banged up and miss time every year. Add on from his rookie year to a second year to his third year he had regressed as a pass catcher and as a pass blocker. Also some had issues with him not just taking the yards that he could and trying to do to much. Just saying every eagles back in 2020 and 2021 had poor pass blocking. It wasn’t just sanders

again a lot didn’t want to spend the money at running back knowing that Sanders really didn’t stay healthy prior to this year and knowing we had a bunch of FA at more vital positions than RB. So the alternative was draft and sign a cheaper veteran rb.

Tell us how you really feel La canfora. I’m not sure if he’s reporting the kingsbury news or saying if they don’t then the bidwell’s don’t care about winning.

I know it's a small point, but I have trouble with a so-called professional not being able to spell Bidwill's name correctly. They've owned the franchise for almost a hundred years and they've been in the desert for more than thirty. You'd think people could spell it right by now.

Yep, I was a big critic of Sanders and had many discussions with HE about him. And it mostly was about his football IQ, fragility, and pass catching regression. He admittedly has improved in all three areas this year from last year. The concern moving forward is, is this due to him being in a contract year? Can he stay healthy long term? I don’t want to pay him a lot to find out

The cough, sore throat and head congestion I had with covid back in Aug was sever.  Worst I’ve ever had and I didn’t have any of the other covid symptoms.  Just a really bad cold.

That sounds terrible. To me those are the worst symptoms of being sick by far.

Why can’t he have that opinion? We have the best o line  in the league, so it’s reasonable to wonder how good sanders really is. Why not debate him instead of this drivel?

Dalvin Cook is hot and cold, but if he’s healthy I’d take him

Mccafrey, Henry, Chubb, Taylor, Jacobs, Mixon to me are clearly better.  That would put him no better 6 if you really love the guy.

Then you have guys like Ekeler, Aaron Jones, Saquon, Etienne, Dalvin Cook, Mostert, Kamara, Swift.   Also Pollard, Pearce, guys like that are arguable.

I could take my time and rank all these but just off the cuff Id put him around 15

Rank the NFL RBs then. Lets see where you have him

Top 5 in rushing, 2nd in TDs, 3rd in yds/att... ya, firmly average, alright

There was a very brief moment of time when we had Mike Quick, Cris Carter, and Keith Jackson. I'd put that group up there. It's certainly in the conversation anyway. Of course Quick was always injured by then and was a shell of his former self. But I'm gonna say the first couple weeks of the '89 season they were at least healthy. I'm thinking of that huge comeback win against the Redskins. Quick made an unbelievable catch in the back of the endzone during the comeback. (I'm not sure his foot was in but I'll take it.)

Don’t remember Quick playing with Carter. I’m sure you’re right, Carter with Eagles wasn’t Carter with Vikings. Those are 3 really talented guys, maybe more so than our current three. But, production isn’t the same (regardless of era).

I forgot about Jones, Mixon, and Jacobs. I wouldn't put Mostert above him. I'd like to see what Pollard can do as the main back without sharing with zeke. Not sure I would put him above Sanders either. I would say Sanders is top 12. Above average but I won't call him elite

Ok great those are compiled stats and our OL is a juggernaut.

Im talking about in a vacuum, dropping him onto a team like the Lions or Texans.  You think he's putting up those numbers?

Insert the RBs @Godfather listed, and do you think they’d have similar/better/worse numbers?

Thats fair I won't split hairs, just personally I dont have him that high

Who am I missing?

Not defending kamara cause he’s looked less than stellar when he has had chances but the saints are a bunch of morons with their offense. First last game they took kamara out after every play he ran and put in Ingram. To the point they targeted Ingram in the pass game more than kamara. Ingram was hurt and they still played him more until the final 2 possessions after the Bucs got a td. Add on to prove just how bad the saints offensive play calling is. After the Bucs made it 16-10, the saints on 2nd down needing to burn the Bucs timeouts and clock decided to throw the ball. Which isn’t an awful thing to do except when you have your best WR in olave on the sideline and he was perfectly healthy and fine.

i don’t know who’s their offensive coordinator but he deserves to be fired. Also deciding to keep playing Andy Dalton at this point is ridiculous. At this point at least try and see if Winston looks better. You really have nothing to lose.

From an eagles perspective it’s good they keep on doing what they have.

On the eagles signing Kern and losing siposs. Might actually be an upgrade depending on how Kern looks at this stage of his career. Siposs only had 44 punts which ranked 26th in the league. Cause the offense has been so good we haven’t nearly had to punt as much as other teams. But he was 26th in terms of average yards per punt. His net average yards per punt is 29th (not all on him).

that said elliott is in last place in both of those categories so I’m guessing kern is an upgrade over that lol

Did they ever say what Siposs’ injury was other than "foot”?

12th best back in the league is reasonable for Sanders. He still isn't elite

Idk at least they didn’t go full flyers and just say lower body injury.

I have CMAC, Saquon, Taylor, Chubb, Henry, Jacobs, Cook, Kamara above him. Maybe Walker next year, but didn't get to see enough of him before he got dinged up. I don't see guys like Mixon, Ekeler, or Jones as head and shoulders above Sanders. But not sure why I'm trying to convince a guy who just mentioned 30 yr old backup RB Raheem Mostert in this discussion.
