Speed, acceleration, agility. I don't think Mixon puts up the same numbers in our offense if you were to pluck him from the Bengals and plop him down in this offense.

Raheem Mostert...   He was ours... and we let him go.   😢

Like mostert but he’s been made of glass til this year. That said since the dolphins made the trade for Jeff Wilson Jr, Wilson has looked like the better back. That said he got hurt on Sunday night and it looks like mostert is gonna get the touches in Buffalo.

just saying i think Buffalo is going to just destroy the dolphins this weekend. Hill is dealing with a foot injury. Waddle has disappeared from the offense. And tua has looked bad the last two weeks. Add on 7 inches of snow in Buffalo for a warm weather team. Also revenged factor for Buffalo from the loss earlier this year. I don’t know what the spread is on that game but i see the bills just rolling in that game.

What does Miles do there?

One is an eagle and thus better.

With that kind of volume? Better for sure, if his health holds up.

RB at 5? Holy piss. This is why he’ll never be ESPN’s #1 mock guy. Kiper at least knows how to make his stuff plausible

All you idiots are forgetting the obvious back that's better than Miles Sanders.

Would love to see @Bacarty2’s RB rankings

Yeah I’m not sure. Mixon overrated a bit nationally. But, most would say Mixon is still better than Miles I would think.

Practice squad elevation is the best thing since sliced bread.

Todd McShay is a known drunk.  Selecting a RB in the top 10 is dumb dumb dumb and the Eagles will never do it.  Yet, it's brought up as a possibility all the time.

Only time i think the eagles would’ve seriously considered taking a RB in the first was mccaffrey. And that was because they also believe he could play in the slot so you weren’t just getting a running back. That said, I still believe if Lattimore or Derek Barnett were on the board and so was McCaffrey they still take Lattimore or Barnett just due to how they perceive those 2 positions

In fairness to mixon the bengals offensive line has been garbage for most of his career. Still managed 1205 rushing yards last year behind a line that was trying to get burrow killed and was completely revamped this offseason.

Maybe but that's likely more of a function of exposure more so than talent. Most haven't really seen what Miles can do, unfortunately. Meanwhile Mixon gets a ton of opportunities every year to put up large numbers in aggregate.

That and simplifying the IR return rules. It's hard to imagine this league used to operate being able to only activate 1 guy per season and you had to give him the designation at the start of his injury.

Guy is just so explosive. His 4 carries for 13 yards was the difference in that jags/titans game

Even though we have a superior line, have for years and currently have a QB that helps with the run game as well?

I disagree. I sincerely think he would do much better. He's eclipsed 1100 rushing yards three times, while Miles has just now eclipsed 1000. They're both injury prone.

On the eagles signing Kern and losing siposs. Might actually be an upgrade depending on how Kern looks at this stage of his career. Siposs only had 44 punts which ranked 26th in the league. Cause the offense has been so good we haven’t nearly had to punt as much as other teams. But he was 26th in terms of average yards per punt. His net average yards per punt is 29th (not all on him).

that said elliott is in last place in both of those categories so I’m guessing kern is an upgrade over that lol

Field position plays a significant effect on gross average.  The frequency of Eagles drives that end inside their own 40 is lower than other teams, so the frequency of punting opportunities to kick a long punt is also low.  Interestingly enough the punter with the longest gross average is the Titans’ punter, and wea saw what those long punts did for Covey.

I'm not intending to discount the effect that Hurts has on the running game, nor am I downplaying how dominant our OL has been. But Sanders was a very effective rusher even pre-Hurts, and I don't think a type of back like Mixon fits this style of offense nearly as well to be honest.

He carried the ball 300 times last year. You gives Miles that many carries, and I'd be floored if he didn't crack 1k too.

He carried the ball that much last season. He has not in his other seasons doing as much.

I'd also say he's a vastly better receiving threat. On a side note, I had high hopes for Miles in this regard after his rookie season...just hasn't happened.

Also expanding the practice squad from 10 to 16 and putting no age or playing restrictions on those extra 6 players. They should have done this years ago. I just hope they keep it this way.

Overall, he's had so much more volume than Sanders though, even in previous years. Definitely a better receiving threat than Miles, I agree there.
