But if he is not running, guess who is ????

The guys who's job it is to run.

Many of Hurts’s runs are pass plays that break down, not necessarily opportunities for the RB.

We do call QB read options, but it’s no 6-8 times a game

I'm with ya.  Hell even if he became a league average passer this offense could do some real damage.  Here's hoping

I think Detroit will be a very, very good game for Hurts…probably one of the best of his career when we look back on it….similar to week 1 last year.

The blueprint on how to beat Hurts has been widely circulated after that Tampa game.  Detroit will aggressively pursue that…and I think Detroit is far, far worse than anyone realizes.  This will give Hurts a very cush preseason…almost 7 on 7 like….atmosphere to roll left, to complete passes over the middle, to look to read 2.  I think the Lions will force him to do those things and I think Siri will carefully curate protected opportunities to do them well.  Once Hurts does that a few times, the Lions will abandon their plans and everything will work for the offense.  Hurts probably won’t need to throw for more than 150-200 yards with a handful of completions before the bottom falls out for Detroit and our running game takes over.

That will only work against a select handful of teams, but it’s going to work Sunday.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 27 - Lions 17

Bonus - Hurts levitates on the sideline during the national anthem

Surprised we don't have to pay for this analysis. I thought Book was starting Sunday

My guess would be the guy is just making stuff up, since it is likely a public road and he doesn't get to determine who parks where.

But if he's building on it and has vehicles coming and going, or doesn't want kids around his construction site, maybe having the school change the stop is a better option.

Yeah.

I feel like you have to legally be able to park safely along the side of the road at a bus stop.

There are no sidewalks. And the roads aren't wide enough to park right on them while allowing traffic to pass freely in both directions.  You have to pull off the road a little bit to park.

I think the gravel area right next to the road is technically not his.  He is responsible to maintain it because it's in front of his property.  But i don't think he can claim it and disallow cars to park there.

Especially if it's a bus stop.

Curious if anyone knows the actual law.

Maybe we can have a duo QB system. Book comes in for Hurts when they want to run some wildcat, and then Hurts comes back in to run some more wildcat

Law guys- a guy is building a house on the formerly vacant corner lot that was used as a school bus stop.

Now he is saying people can't park along the road there when waiting for the bus.

Normally a lot of the kids walk to this stop,  but on rainy days there are more cars and there won't be enough room to park.

Is the bus stop technically public property? Or did the guy have the right to not allow people to wait in front of his house?

Got an address so we can google map it ??

I can see how that could be annoying, but the guy has no say on who can park along a public road.  If he's being reasonable about it maybe your town can work out a better bus stop location that has enough parking.  If he's being a D about it I would suggest parking in front of his house every single day and maintaining eye contact while you're waiting.

I'm surprised Gainwell was that efficient/Sanders was that terrible

Well it’s definitely public property.  I suspect he’d have a leg to stand on under one of 3 conditions…1. People are obstructing his driveway. 2. People are congregating outside the cars on his yard. 3. It’s a section of street where there is no parking allowed.  (If it’s a bus stop, Id assume it’s a section of street where there IS parking).

Otherwise, he really can’t tell people what to do.  To be fair to that guy, I wouldn’t want a school bus stop outside my house either…but he can’t do anything about it.

NFL Rookie Premiere.  Filled with 1st round draft picks and rookies hyped to make contributions to their teams.

Eagles...Carson Strong.

I would argue that the NFLs historically elite offenses have almost all pushed the limits of the pass/run ratio that was conventional in their day.

The pass is simply more effective.  The only reason for ever running the ball at all is the same reason a pitcher with a bad change up still throws it so teams don’t jump on the fastball.  But the yards per play of pass vs run is generally far bigger than the difference in contact between fastball/off speed in pitchers with even bad off speed pitches.

Thats what the running game is…an ineffective change up.

If yards per play is the only criteria, you are right.  However, it isn't the only criteria.  Wear and tear on the O-Line and D-line respectively is very different on run plays versus pass plays.

Clock management is another big difference.

Why wasnt Hurts there then?

People really don't do their homework before buying a house or a property.  Spend some time just sitting in your car in the neighborhood at different times of the day.  You're not just buying the house/property, you're also buying the neighborhood.  He only has himself to blame.  Like you said, he should contact the school board and ask them to move the bus stop.  But he runs the risk of pissing off all of his neighbors by making them change their routine.

In that guys defense, if he bought in the summer I could see overlooking that detail myself.  End of the day though the "solution" to his new problem though isn't telling people they just can't park on a public road.  Either deal with it or (politely) bring it up at a town/school meeting and see if you can work out a new location. If he insists on being a **** about it though that's the type of guy I would go out of my way to mess with every chance I get (cause I'm petty).

He was at that restaurant cooking seafood and drinking Pepsi for a Pepsi commercial advertising local businesses.  I remember that day distinctly, because one poster blew his stack saying that people were criticizing Hurts -- as though he showed up there purely out of the goodness of his heart.
