Nick did say in his Presser that he regretted not calling Sanders' number more and sooner. Said he will scheme to get him more touches moving forward, FWIW...

But if teams keep showing single high, ya gotta chuck it deep , we got the tools....

Huge fan of Devonta and love his work ethic. I expect greater things in the years to come, but there are so many little areas to refine.

Model his route running after this dude and he will be fine: https://www.vikings.com/video/jefferson-roasts-gilmore-for-each-touchdown

Don’t disagree. I think he’ll keep getting better, love his attitude and demeanor. Howie hit a home run with that pick.

I think it was RO where Hurts picked himself over the RB.  One thing I will say is that Hurts did a crappy job of protecting himself yesterday. Miles was in the doghouse after the fumble but there just weren’t many rushing yards available yesterday.

He didn't fumble until the second half, after they ignored him the entire first half.   And it was literally his first fumble all year.  If Miles was in the doghouse for that, then shame on everyone responsible for that.  Hurts, Goedert, Brown, Smith, Watkins... all have fumbles too.  Did they go into the doghouse?

And my point continues to be that they didn't NEED to run the RO so much.  Just let the big boys eat and move bodies.  They want to put 8 in the box.... put in a 6th OL at TE and play some smashmouth football.  In the cold and wind, sometimes you have to do just that, and I'd prefer NOT to use my QB to be that battering ram.  Of course, I've been beating that drum for a while and the coaches don't seem to care.  Sirianni even said the game plan included gashing the Bears with Jalen's legs.  Which just makes me sad to hear.

They did.  But, I still think that the Eagles running game was poorly designed.  They picked to shut down Hurts.  And the Eagles decided to just keep running him.

I think hurts called his own number, way too many times, gonna get hurt

Smith, AJ, and Deebo are my 3 favorite players that have come out of the draft within the past 5 years. 2 are Eagles :groovy: I love watching Smith play. He's an amazing route runner and is so smooth getting in and out of breaks

he does exude smooth... reminds me of Stefon Diggs or the way Gale Sayers used to run

Agreed. 27 years old. Uber athletic tackle. Showed signs of progress in the last year. Someone will make a move, and it would not be a bad one either. You miss, you are no worse off, but if he puts it together...

Eagles were trying to trade him all offseason but no one wanted to give up what was reported to be a third rounder. But someone is going to pay him more than $2 million in free agency?

The NFL has told you what it thinks of him.

To compare:

Sanders has 8 games with 15 or more carries.

Hurts has 6 such games.

It is way too many.

touche. I do think free agency is different, nothing to give up besides money. But point well made

Speaking of TE’s it may be time to put the Tyree Jackson experiment to rest.

I do, 1year for 2 million? He’s a 1st rd pick who has at least shown a little ability, and a case can be made that injuries have set him back. But, now he’s healthy. I’d be shocked if he didn’t get much more.

Yeah, Dillard is going to get a deal from someone to be their starting left tackle. No question about it. It won't be us. It's a shame it didn't work out here (he got hurt and Mailata became a revelation and won the job) because I still think he can be a good player. He's no Barrett Brooks or Winston Justice, highly touted guys who pretty much sucked.

yep, I dont care how big and strong, too many runs will mean too many chances to get hurt, he needs to think that he needs to be healthy in the playoffs

I know he was compared a lot to Marvin Harrison and Issac Brue when he was coming out. I see a lot of similarities

Well, to be fair he could still be that. Lol. But, he’s gonna get an opportunity regardless. He won’t get a massive deal but it’s gonna be more than the 1yr 2 million and if he performs he’ll earn an even bigger one.

Agreed. He took quite a few unnecessary shots yesterday. Play calling needs to be better. Avoid putting him in situations like that and Hurts needs to be a little smarter also

First, you don’t really know what Howie was offered. He may have drawn a hard line at nothing less than a 2nd, but we don’t know for sure.

Second and most important, free agency almost always carries a higher price than trade and signing.

Dillard isn’t going to take a pay cut if he’s offered a starting left tackle job

Dillard is as good as gone. Focus should be on keeping Seumalo over him

Dillard will be interesting. Not sure he gets a meaningful deal to start for anyone, and he is the backup left tackle and left guard. For $2 million, I would bring him back for a year. I don't think he will get more than that on the open market.

I'd hammer the over on that. Chance Warmack signed here for almost that. Matt Pryor just got a 1 year $5M fully guaranteed contract and he's the 24th highest paid LT. Some team that's desperate is going to give him somewhere between Pryor and Big V, at least.

Seumalo has been quietly having a good season ...or so it seems.

In general when talking about the OL, he rarely gets mentioned. He's a good guard.

Hurts is averaging 11+ carries a game.  The only QB to average that over multiple years is Lamar Jackson.

Washington fans are upset at the call on mclaurin and the missed call on Samuel but this from the raiders game looked like he hit the out of bounds line with his toe and shouldn’t have been a td that made it 24-23 at the time.
