Matt is probably hitting that as we speak

California grass is overrated

If they put this on a T-shirt I’d buy it.

Canadian grass make you overly nice?

I brought up an issue with Quez during the game yesterday; he seems to always be running horizontally, especially so on those quick hitters they love for some reason. We saw Smith run that play perfectly for a big first down, and he did it by going straight ahead with speed.

If Quez won’t run forward, why do they insist on feeding him the ball sideways? Its probably the thing that irritates me the most with this team

Also Quez isn't the shiftiest runner.  He is best if he can get going N-S.

I noticed on the 2 point conversion, Hurts pulled it back and snuck around the left edge for the points. Was a nice wrinkle, though I think he still took a little bit of a shot for it

The Philly Usual

The Philly Usual

It's the ultimate old-school football play. No matter how much the game evolves, I like how they run this and basically say "Our guys are going to punch yours in the teeth and 90% of the time you can't do anything about it."

 Both work.

Actually, JoJo was a Man who thought he was a Woman, but let's not go there.

Metaphor done, Moving on...

Thanks.

As I said, if the trend would be to move towards a more vulnerable but active QB, contracts would begin to reflect that.

Incentives, shorter terms, More money guaranteed up front with easy outs after a couple years, etc.

Just noodling here but current QB contracts hamstring a team. Tipping point being approached.

These numbers guys aren't blind. They know it is not sustainable if they want to field a Contender perennially...

( See TB12 as a Workaround) the EFFers...:nonono:

Yes, but right now those aren't the structures for QB contracts.  So, that would be the tricky part, and that might be what the Ravens are offering to Jackson that he keeps turning down.

Success rate on QB sneaks with our lil Kelce leading the charge...Best in the League.

"Kelce's too small", ...not really.

Great overhead shot.

I'd rather have a Jason Avant type WR that can come up with 3rd down conversions and have Quez as a 4th WR come in and stretch the field.

We have a Jason avant type receiver already in Zach Paschall we just have him as number four and Watkins is number three

That's insightful. Nice take.

He may be his own Agent but he's no dummy.

Maybe he's reading the Tea Leaves...

It’s been widely reported that Lamar is insisting on a fully guaranteed contract, which the ravens (rightfully so) are balking at

They have that guy in Pascal.  Would much rather see them target him than forcing the ball to Quez.  If they are going to get the ball in to Watkins hands, they need to do it down field.  he isn't elusive enough to get him the ball in short yardage, tight areas.  Not that Pascal is, but he's a big body that can do some damage and create some mismatches from the slot.  Not sure why the Eagles get stuck in some of these play calling ruts.  The WR screen, the QB runs, the lack of any run game, especially Sanders and trying to force plays that don't work.

Apropos of nothing whatsoever, nice in here today, good QB stuff, great Pics.

Glad I had a lil time to lurk. :Eagle_smiley:

If that's true, and it probably is, I would agree. I wouldn't fully guarantee anything with his History and style.
