LOL. If I was on your ignore list then you wouldn’t see it, even if I quoted you.  That’s not how it works.

So you don’t want to bet that Hurts won’t play Saturday.  Got it.  Keep making your ridiculous guarantees.

Cute.

The feature has an option where one can look in to see if a poster has become reasonable or worth responding to.

You, not so much.

As I said, Bye.

It’s sickening honestly, I hope he is a go

If he misses just 1 game he might be still able to win it.  Unless he comes back the last 2 weeks and plays like the Hurts from last year.

Yeah, I don't buy the conspiracy here (usually I am wearing a tin foil hat). Why not just sit Hurts? Why put out the fake injury? This is the same team that benched Hurts in the middle of a game to tank. If they were willing to do that, why wouldn't they do it this week? I think it's a minor injury that he could play through that they're being ultra cautious with given our place in the standings.

It’s also like that Simpsons scene where Mr Burns keeps telling Mattingly to shave his sideburns except it’s Jeffery Lurie everyday telling Jalen to grow a handle bar mustache.

I never saw so much concern over a minor shoulder separation. Holy smokes.

This is an AC sprain. If he had to play, he would. If they lose this week, they can give him a lidocaine injection and he can play against the saints with 0 pain.

This is a total non-issue.

I only hope we can beat Dallas with our backup QB to add to their embarrassment and contribute to their regular december melt down.

Would such an injury drastically impact his throwing velocity/accuracy?

It really isn't a travesty/injustice if Hurts loses the MVP vote.  You can blame the voting swing on the injury all you want, but this week Mahomes set the record for completion percentage in a game with >40 passing attempts while Hurts had arguably his worst game of the year.

Individual awards matter very little, and there's no shame in losing out to the best QB of the modern era.  Hurts would be the first person to tell anyone that.  Ya'll need to chill.

Not because of structural weakness, but possibly because of pain. (possibly not). And in that case, again, a lidocaine injection will take care of that completely and he can play with 0 pain.

What a horseish argument, though. Either last week or before, Mahomes threw three picks and Hurts had a career game. By this logic, whoever does better week 18 wins the award? Mahomes has thrown a lot more picks, if that’s the logic, and lost a lot more games to worse teams.

I don't buy the conspiracy either.   In the heat of the game, while the adrenaline was flowing, he didn't feel it.  After the game, he stiffens up, starts to feel more sore, etc.  I buy it.

Every week, Dr David Caio comes on NFL radio with Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan. That sounds pretty much exactly how he described it. If he needed to play, he could take an injection and be fine.

I think the Eagles are just being cautious. If this was a must win game and Jacksonville didn’t beat Dallas yesterday, I think there’s a higher chance he plays. That said, I think the Eagles believe they can still beat this team with Gardner Minshew. I would argue if you go through the roster outside of quarterback (with Jalen not playing) the Eagles have a better roster than Dallas. And I don’t think the drop off from Dak to Gardner Minshew with all the talent we have around him is so wide the eagles can’t beat them. Frankly the Texans are significantly worse and nearly pulled it out. I also wouldn’t be surprised with the veterans we have that went through something like this that they get the guys around them to elevate their play and beat Dallas.

yep.

The risk is getting slammed on that shoulder again and worsening it. but football players play with this all the time.

There are ways to tape it for support. And, inject to control pain.

Well, I'm still not happy with the game plan they used versus the Bears and still feel that they have been rather cavalier with his usage during the course of the year, and this was a warning shot that it could have been much worse.  A broken clavicle on that play sure seemed like a possibility... it has happened to others.  :nonono:

yes. the mechanism that caused this injury is the same exact way you end up with a clavicle fracture. They lucked out big time.

He took big hits early on and ran for a putrid per carry average. It wasnt working, and he was taking big hits, and they kept doing it.

I was thinking to my self- they really dont care if he is injured for Dallas? This makes no sense.

Not only did they luck out on his injury. They lucked out that Dallas lost and now the game doesnt matter.

But Id say if we dont win, he HAS to play against the saints. You cant stretch this all the way to a week 18 must win game. Took risky.

And that was the week that Hurts took the lead in MVP voting away from Mahomes.  That's how its always been if there are 2 close candidates.  There's also a big difference between "career game" and "record breaking game".

I'd be annoyed about it if Hurts was clearly the superior year long candidate but he isn't.  He has been fantastic.  So has Mahomes.  No shame in losing to a guy who's on pace to break the single season passing record. Strongest finish is almost always gonna be the winner in those cases.

The fact solider field is grass and not turf might have actually helped on the slam on the shoulder. If that’s turf getting slammed into it might have been a bigger injury.

Numbers, letters. A lot of legal terminology. White paper.
