I love how they're getting Jurgens involved.  It's frustrating to not have a second round pick play significant snaps but you can tell how much they like they guy by how much they've been trying to find ways to get him into the game-plan.

What’s a Hargrave contract going to look like

Probably something similar to Grady Jackson or Cam Heyward. 3 years/$50 million or 4 years/$65 million. Don’t know if he’ll get Vea, Buckner, or Chris Jones money.

The fact solider field is grass and not turf might have actually helped on the slam on the shoulder. If that’s turf getting slammed into it might have been a bigger injury.

Maybe, but frozen turf isn't very forgiving either.  It was in the 20s at gametime I believe.  That top layer was pretty hard, I would think.

not sure. rubber in the turf might have absorbed more forces than a frozen field.

Either is better than the old Vet surface.  If that was the field... he might have been killed on that play.

I know the bears use a heating system under the grass. Not sure how much that helps in that situation.

Hope they can get something done. Be nice to keep him for a few more years. Dude is a wrecking ball out there.

With guys like Sanders, Bradberry, one of White/Edwards, and one of CGJ/Epps most likely departing in FA, there should be enough to go around

That would be better than just a cold field... but that surface is awful and has been awful for years and years.  Can't figure out how it can be so bad continually for a professional franchise.   Incompetence or negligence?

I’m guessing partially both.

You are 100% right.  The Vet was basically green carpet over concrete.  Asphalt actually is softer than concrete.

Dallas Offensive gameplan for the staff:

a). bench the starters.

b). Minshew takes snaps for a quarter - gets stached on IR.

c). Throw the Book at 'em.

Well, I'm still not happy with the game plan they used versus the Bears and still feel that they have been rather cavalier with his usage during the course of the year, and this was a warning shot that it could have been much worse.  A broken clavicle on that play sure seemed like a possibility... it has happened to others.  :nonono:

A little cavalier with the play calling. Not complaining but ask Nick Foles, wanna borrow his sling?

24 minutes ago, HazletonEagle said:

yes. the mechanism that caused this injury is the same exact way you end up with a clavicle fracture. They lucked out big time.

He took big hits early on and ran for a putrid per carry average. It wasnt working, and he was taking big hits, and they kept doing it.

I was thinking to my self- they really dont care if he is injured for Dallas? This makes no sense.

Not only did they luck out on his injury. They lucked out that Dallas lost and now the game doesnt matter.

But Id say if we dont win, he HAS to play against the saints. You cant stretch this all the way to a week 18 must win game. Took risky.

You think he had no say in that? Guy wasn't gonna pull himself, he was ballin.  Fn Warrior and he'll suit up for Dallas.

Im not talking about the fact that he kept playing. I would expect him to not go out of the game due to this injury.

The issue was the game plan of running him in to a brick wall all day. Especially for the fact that it wasnt even working.

And, he may have had a say in that. Not surprised if he kept calling his own number. Trying to outshine the mobile QB on the other sideline, and disprove Parsons' comments.

We dont know if it was coaches playcalling, or his. Either way, it was incredibly stupid.

Some truth here HE.

Doubt he's looking over his shoulder at Mahomes and those guys, doesn't seem to be a concern of his, but he's definitely playing to Win.

Executing as called. They just need to stop calling HIS number. That's why we have all those other guys...

Official doing great job missing the facemask on that play

If that was an incomplete pass then no way Miles should have been ruled a fumble

Surely, you must be joking.

Refs have been extremely generous with not ruling forward progress being stopped. You can’t just stand a guy up for 5 seconds.

So let’s get into the pro bowl.  We should have a bunch of guys who get named initially or as a replacement.  I can see:

Hurts

AJ Brown

Miles Sanders

Kelce

Lane Johnson

Reddick

Sweat

Slay

Hargrave

CJGJ and Goedert were both well on their way before injuries.

Sanders I’d say no. He’s having a steady but not flashy season. Not that it isn’t deserving but I can see other "name” guys getting votes over him.

Reddick is a toss up. He should absolutely get it, but he hasn’t gotten one yet. I can see him getting it or being snubbed again.
