Athletes are worshipped way too much. Argentina won the World Cup but all you see is Messi Messi Messi. He’s the GOAT blah blah blah like he’s the only world class player on the team.

I blame Michael Jordan

Just my amateur thoughts.

Stroud, Young, Levis, and Richardson go top 15.

Subtract them.

Leaves Anderson, Carter, Murphy, Ringo, Wilson, Bresee, Porter, Jr., that TCU WR I can't remember at the moment, Addison, and somebody.

Hopefully the Saints pick stays in that 6-15 range. There will be a good player or a good trade down.

They should draft him.

Greatest of all time gets thrown around way too much in today's sports media.

It needs to stop.  That and in-game interviews.

Wonder if the league moves to ban the Eagles QB sneak next year

Goodell will circle back on that.

I’m not joking. And don’t call me Shirley.

Richardson is still a first rounder in the mocks, Hooker could be a late 1st as well.

Any team that drafts Richardson in the first round is brain dead. I can't imagine a worse season for an alleged first round QB, the guy was horrible all year.  I wouldn't take him before day 3

I stopped paying attention to the QBs once it was apparent we were no longer in that business. What’s the difference between him and Malik Willis as a prospect other than height?

Interesting look at Hurts’ EPA vs various defensive coverages.

I don't think we are going to beat the Cowboys with Minshew at QB. I do think we can beat the Saints. Hopefully that's the case. I'd rather the #1 seed not come down to a game against a divisional opponent in week 18, even if it's against the Giants. Also that will probably end up being on SNF since there will be a lot riding on it.

I guess that settles it.  Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL this year.  He's the only one I noticed with all positive values.

But, then it's Mahomes... because his scores when added together produces the highest total.

Then again, maybe its Trubisky, because he's got the pretty red colors in his line.

A long time ago we beat the Cowboys... in Dallas... on Christmas... with our backup QB.

A cynical person could assume that the injury is not as severe as stated and that Hurts could play this weekend, but the FO chose to:

  • Keep Hurts off the same field as Parsons, who may have been on a mission.
  • Give Minshew a whole week of work with the one's, just in case Hurts has to leave a game during the playoffs.
  • Provide an excuse for us to play our starters against the Saints.

I came here to find doom and gloom, and came here to find an airplane joke.  Awesome.

Not to pull a Parsons, but I disagree.  The Cowboys have not been playing well.  Dak throws a lot of INTs and we have the best secondary in the game.  The Cowboys offensive line is banged up and our defensive line is calling. I literally think our defense will give Dallas fits.

Not putting a dinged player in harms way, in a kind of meaningless game in terms of the season, makes complete sense. Why risk the potential of a worse injury, especially on a QB that likes to run ball multiple times a game and seek contact. All shades of dumb if they did it.

@Bacarty2

Ravens offense since Huntley took over

27th in EPA per drive

32 in points per game.

Lol

I do agree about the defense. I think they will carry the team and it'll probably be a low scoring game as long as the Eagles don't turn the ball over. I just don't know if the QB is good enough to win in any other situation. I'd love to be wrong though.

The Eagles definitely CAN win this week, especially with how banged up Dallas is.

Lost in all of this is that Dallas has as little to play for as we do.  Ditto New Orleans.  Their playoff fares are set.

The Giants, however, may be fighting for a playoff spot in week 18.  Let’s not create a situation where week 18 is the one we rely on with all starters to secure the 1 seed.

I bet the Eagles see more fight from the Giants in week 18 than either Cowboys or Saints.

What I understand about this particular injury is that it CAN be aggravated by repeatedly falling on that shoulder and could worsen.  With that being the case, and with the playoffs so near... in a game that frankly the Eagles can lose and still get the #1 seed.  Heck the Eagles could lose out and still get the bye!   What's really to be gained by putting the QB in harms way where he is already dinged?  Let him heal for a week, and then decide the best course of action for the Saints game (and the Giants if it comes down to it).

Oddly, the saints may still be in it next week. I agree overall with your post, but the saints could be playing very hard next week
