If I'm Sanders I'm a bit pissed honestly. Jalen absolutely does not need to do that anymore (yes a couple of time a game then get down). He's effective as an actual quarterback and I gained a great deal of respect for him this season.

And the Bears rank last in the NFL in sacks, pressures and QB hits.  The pocket was the safest place to be last Sunday.

Wonder how much of a "discount" he'll take if he wants to stay in Philly

Maybe a five finger, but that’s about it

If I were a RB... I'd give no discounts.  Their careers are too short to take less than market value.  Heck, their market value is already a discount most of the time.   And then I go ring chasing after my big contract comes in.

Can you send down 2 blonde Canadian bombshells for Minshew to slay the night before the game?

I’m not sure he’s going to have a huge market to begin with, especially with all of the FA backs next year.

It is a loaded draft and good crop of FA RB's this year. I'm sure that alone will have an effect on most of the rb contacts this offseason

The problem is, old habits de hard and Hurts kinds of regresses when the game becomes more chaotic or he feels he needs to score points.  He needs to trust the team and the system, rather than be it.

Sanders is also kinda sneaky old. This is his one chance to make money.

You ask good questions.

BTW... does anyone have a single instance of a QB getting hurt handing the ball to a RB on a designed run?   I sure can't think of any.

The part that makes no sense to me is that he has to be a THREAT to run, to help the running game.  He does not need to run it 17 times in a game.  Gross negligence on the part of the coaching staff.  They needed to tell him during that game to just GIVE the ball to the RB rather than make the read.   The Bears were loading up on stopping HIM.

When this coaching staff falls in love with a game plan they sure seem to be stuck with it regardless of how ineffective it may be. It even gets very predictable during the game sometimes. Its just weird how they go into games and they clearly limit how many times one of our better players is going to get on the field or how many times the ball comes their way. The game plan they create Wednesdays through Fridays is set in stone and they'll die on that hill if they have to.

Yes... and also no though.   Limited carries at PSU behind Barkley.   And limited carries here, for a lead back, due to plenty of reasons... one of them being the coaching staffs inability to commit to running the ball with him at times.

But RBs only get one shot at real money.

Fair enough. I agree he has more tread than most 26 year old RB's, but age is still a factor when it comes to recovery, maintenance and maintaining your body at a high level.

"Sneaky old" is a big stretch

For a RB? I don't think it is. He'll be 26 in May. How many RB's make it past 30 while making good money?

My point was RB's get one shot at premium money, there are no second or third contracts that QB's, O-lne, D-line, WR's etc get.
