The biggest issue here is you ordered a pizza from papa John’s. Lol

Brilliant!  He did that to reach the Final 4 of the racist tourney.  Probably had the founder deliver it in a white Uber

If he mentors your first round pick there's some logic but it's a stretch.  If he's a key contributor to a playoff run then it makes sense.  I don't think they've written Hurts off tho I do think they'd have upgraded this past offseason if they could have.  Same will apply next offseason but the urgency will be greater if he doesn't improve

Howie is 100% prepared to hand the franchise to Hurts if he balls out this year. He’s not short-sighted enough to dismiss the possibility before the games have even been played.

Now the odds of that happening may be particularly low, but there’s no reason to build this team up so much in a 1year window around a lame duck QB otherwise. This is set up to see what Hurts has got.

This actually sounds pretty amazing.  I plan on venturing out west soon, and I’m especially excited about the beauty of Arizona and have read amazing things about Sedona. I’ve actually never truly been to Texas outside of the Dallas and Houston airport dozens of times.  Something about Dallas makes me sick to my stomach.

sedona, prescott, flagstaff, and a bunch of small mining towns north of phoenix, temps are great too

I was out in Arizona last year it was ok.... Wildfires prevented us from being able to hike in Sedona tho

Are we saving Carson Strong for week 2, the true test?

It's a takeoff on Baja California, I refer to Dallas as Baja Oklahoma.

Reason El Paso is really in New Mexico - look for the closest Texas city to El Paso, Marfa, Ft Stockton, you got to go hundreds of miles to get to any real city - that corner of Texas is basically empty. El Paso to Albuquerque 266 miles, Phoenix, 430 miles, Midland 305 miles, Lubbock 346 miles, San Antonio 551 miles.

El Paso is basically isolated from the rest of Texas, and half the city is now north of the Texas border.

No, it's not.

Why re-sign Cox then this year and eat that space?

Great question.   I just re-looked at that move.  It is a 2 year deal for the $14M.  So, he'll likely be back again next year, costing $4M on the cap, and then leaves $7.5M dead for 2024.   I still don't get it as I think the better option was to move on, but in retrospect, it's not quite as bad as I first believed when I thought it was just a one year deal.

Yup.  Ordering from Papa Johns likely set the entire course of events in motion.

It’s a one year deal, they just structured it that way so they can post June 1st him next year. I believe even the Eagles announced it as a one year deal.

We’re keeping him on ice for the post season.

You might be right, which is why I was thinking it was a one year deal.  In that case, it goes back in the 'stupid Howie can kicking move' category.

Carson Strong is going to get stashed on the Philadelphia Stars.

Those Pederson era injury reports were the worst part of the week. We were so fragile after Kelly it was unbelievable

It didn't but, the state police had something to say about it lol.

What would the cap situation had been if they didn't bring him back?  Would they have been off the hook in 2023 or still paying dead cap?  It's confusing for sure.  Had they released Cox and then given Hargrave an extension that would have made a lot more sense than the current situation where they now have Cox on the books through 2024 and a potential of Hargrave for even longer if they give him the Howie special.  Paying for two over 30 DT and then paying them when they aren't on the roster is my biggest issue with the way Howie is handling the DL.

The contract is still bad, even if it's structured in a good way.

I still think it's Fletcher's last year in Philly.
