  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

As I said, whether it’s replicable is an issue for another time. Probably next Sunday.

I know you were impressed by his running ability that appeared to bail us out. Though, its his fault he has to run so much. Even so, lets not forget what position he is playing. He is listed as QB. Ill be happy when he beats those blitzes with hot reads and audibles. Or at least keeps his eyes down field when he scrambles and starts hitting bombs for TDs or at least huge chunk plays when the D thought it had a perfect blitz dialed up, because he extended a play rather than just eyes on the ground running.

Cleveland would have to be held at gunpoint to not re-sign Chubb.

That looked short by a pubic hair.

I’ll say it again Thirty-one should be enough. Our defense sucked. That was not on Hurts. Detroit eventually outscored our offense because we sucked on D. Period. Blaming Hurts for that is just silly.

It’s the Detroit Lions. 31 doesn’t happen against a real team. That’s the issue. We can’t play the Lions, Jets and Giants every week. The Tampa Bay game showed the problem. I hoped to see some sort of progress or adjustment. All I saw, if anything, was a regression to the comfort zone that got us killed by a playoff team whose defensive coach said our QB "can’t read”. The same reason people were upset with the draft pick in the first place. We’ve seen almost no progress except for some people citing a throw to a slant in the seam that was run toward the middle of the field after the catch. Unreal.

The bolded part is fair, but what ultimately matters, to me. Yeah, Hurts being the same guy he’s been since he was benched for Tua won us a game against the worst team in the league. Whoopie. He ran his way to squeezing out a win against a bad team. I’ll give you that.

But I still wouldn’t consider it a "great game” in terms of an NFL QB. It was enough to win yesterday. An ugly win. But it’s not gonna cut it. And I don’t see how that isn’t obvious and not a concern.

Never said great game, ever. I am not RTK. It cut it yesterday. All that matters until next week.

No. I express my own. You OTOH seem to feel threatened. Understandable.

Oh. Earlier I said that some thought he had an outstanding game. And you responded with "I thought so.” I thought that’s what you meant

OK. We’re good.

I think he's referring to Denver's Bradley Chubb, DE.  Maybe?

Wilson started really badly despite some solid yardage numbers and a TD.

In the entire half he targeted WRs only 4 times and completed 2.

At this point, he has completed passes to 7 players. Attempted passes to 10 players.

His two top WRs have 7 targers each, and his uber athletic TE Albert O has 6.

He is utilizing his weapons. It would be nice to have a QB capable of that.

Where the f is @greend

This guy has to stop calling him Davante Williams.

eagles came for his guns and he did not tolerate that.

I think the Cowboys win total went from 10.5 on Saturday to 6.5 now.

I'd take the under.

I wouldnt say he is obsessing about opinions. I think he is challenging them. Which is what we do here.

JR is one of few guys I have ever seen here have his opinion swayed by a productive discussion.

Well, his absence disgusts me.

What kind of play call is that?

Wtf are they doing

Nothing like Denver wasting 40 seconds to call a timeout anyway.

frankly they should be trying to get more yards so this isn’t a ridiculous 64 yard attempt even if it’s 4th down.

yes. you should send him a letter and tell him that.

well that kick wasnt even close.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Hurts stunk or was excellent.  He can run very well, but that’s not a sustainable offense against good teams.  My opinion is 13 targets per game to AJ Brown will get slowed down rather quickly too.

Hurts isn’t playing the QB position the way it needs to be played for the Eagles to contend — JMO.  I came away concerned after the game because a) the Eagles are a much better team than DET, and should have won going away, and  b) they clearly need a lot of work on both sides of the ball

c) this resembled Hurts’ first career start from 2020 against the Saints.  I’m not seeing the development or progression in his game that other folks do

I always assumed he lives outside

Damn, just missed

who wants to try kicking it that long in Denver?

I'd have rather gone for it on 4th down. The chance to make a 64-yard FG has to be pretty low.
