There may have been a 7PM start followed by a kickoff scheduled for 10:15 that wound up overlapping slightly when the first game ran long, but this the first time they intentionally set up start times that were guaranteed to overlap by at least an hour and a half.

They'll be shown off on a Thursday night Color Rush game. I'm color blind. When the Bills (red) and the Jets (green) played a TNF color rush game, I needed to look at the helmet logos to tell who had the ball.

And why does it matter. 10 games were played at the same time on Sunday.

It is ridiculous and, imo, erodes the tradition of the game. Then again, the TNF experience in its entirety is just a money grab and a slap in the face to the idea that the NFL cares one iota about player safety.

Curious if its just a rust thing coming off injury/switching sides or if he just can't play RG. He didn't look great. Not to keep harping on the team but this is an area where IMO, more than 1 series would have been nice for the 1st unit during the preseason. It's funny reading all of the Philly beat talking about how rusty the Eagles look and all they say is "that's to be expected as players try to get in to game shape". Hey guys, that's generally half the reason you play the pre-season. To get in game shape. No one wants to call out some of the most obvious flaws this team has.

Kansas City Chiefs sure looked ready for the season, maybe it was from those reps they took in the preseason. 1 minute ago, FranklinFldEBUpper said: But those weren’t in prime time, when people are accustomed to sitting down and enjoying a single game. The NFL has totally missed a great marketing opportunity by making their Thursday night games "Throwback Thursdays". Rather than trot out hideous new uniforms, teams could wear throwback uniforms or in the case of newer teams like the Texans, a fauxback such as the Tampa Bay Rays. It just makes too much sense to do. Instead we get the Eagles in all black, the Seahawks in "Action Green" and so on. Let's just be happy the NFL hasn't gone the way of the NBA with their annual trotting out of garbage statement, icon or whatever else they call those jerseys.
September 13, 20223 yr Trent McDuffie was apparently our 1st round pick had we not traded for AJ Brown. McDuffie was awesome in college, but the #1 concern was frame given where was drafted. He's small/thin.

Happier with Jobe whose similar but has a long wingspan/arm length.

Inverted Cover 2 would have both corners bailing deep and both safeties covering the hook/flat zones. I thought the corner on bottom was probably in MOD or MEG but the top looked like invert to me but robber makes sense as well That top CB sure looks like he is playing zone rather than man which is why I went with Cover 2. Walker is certainly dropping like he is in a single high S in Cover 1 so I can see your viewpoint. Notice when the CB hands the receiver off to Walker and drops. That made me think it was zone for him too. If that corner is in man, it’s pretty bad man coverage. Note the backer on Watkins looks like he is in zone but that could be because he was so scared of his speed. You may well be right as to what was called.

The second clip of the deep throw to Brown, I wouldn't have given that throw an A++ because DeVonta Smith at the bottom of the screen is an easier throw and a TD pass with a decent throw. Smith has his man beaten already, well before Hurts throws to Brown. Brown surely was his first read based on presnap. Your alpha receiver vs a ho-hum corner without help seems like the right call.

I think it's just a large cushion out of respect to Brown's speed. I think that's Okudah who for all intents and purposes is still basically a rookie, so probably not a lot of confidence quite yet.

That’s why the little ish is at a lot of Nick’s press conferences. It’s Lurie’s way. Chip took over, didn’t work out. Lurie said he was taking his franchise back so he did. He hires a puppet in Doug, but then Doug wins the SB and he feels empowered to push back and hire his own coaches. Lowie doesn’t allow him and Doug is gone. Now we have the ultra Puppet in Nick. I have no doubt that Nick didn’t hire Gannon. Lowie hired Gannon. And Lowie will replace Gannon, with someone that Lowie picks. Howie stopped being the problem years ago. It’s Lurie. Maybe it was the bourbon last night but i started to consider this: they know hurts isnt the guy. Hurts will want a starter contract next year. So pump him up all year and then when you wont give him said contract he demands a trade and bam. You get value for him and on to a new qb.

I really hope so. @we_gotta_believe got me thinking about it. They have made zero overtures at getting his running in check and forcing him to progress as a passer. Meanwhile, they tried to trade up for a QB last year... tried to trade for a QB this past year.

Hurts wasn't drafted to be our starting QB. Just inventory in the factory. I have little doubt that Lowie has been looking for our next QB since the minute they shipped Wentz off to Indy and still are. Hurts' trade value will be interesting if they do in fact move on from him after this year. I bet you could sucker a team into giving up a 1st for him. If Lamar moves on from Baltimore they would probably be interested since they can run the same offense.
