Fields hasn’t been good.  But his delivery and zip is a lot more NFL-like than Jalen Tebow’s.

Fields is on the short list of QB's with Jones, Geno and maybe a few others with less grey matter than Hurts though.  It's a real catch 22.

Sorry, next time I'll consult you, the Football Master. You have it all figured out. Surprised you're not a head coach.

I like how you deleted the part of my reply that really gave it context.

Would it be impolite to point out that Tua is in a new system this year, and did this today ??

The new system excuse may be the most lazy, tired excuse ever.

Wentz is in his 3rd system in 3 years, averaging 325 yards and 3 1/2 TD’s a game so far.

Not every system is as simple, I'm surprised you don't know that. McDaniels runs one of the most complex offenses in the NFL.

Wow. Bears got screwed there. That was over. Touchdown

I didn't delete anything, no idea what you're talking about.

I'd really like to see Devonta Smith avoid the sophomore slump everyone has been expecting; that concern obviously spiraled out of control in week 1.

For all the Howie love lately, if Smith turns into a pumpkin/JAG in this offense (somewhat reminiscent of the early career splashes of NFL ready but low explosion guys like Reggie Brown and Jordan Matthews), that's going to be a sad disappointment.  Trading out of Waddle and passing up Parsons for an ignored #2 isn't the way you want break free from the  Barnett, Dillard, Reagor lineage.

Where and when did it spiral out of control that he's having a sophomore slump?  I don't recall that being said a single time.  I think we all remarked how spot on the prediction was that Hurts gonna lock onto AJ and wouldn't be surprised if Smith asks for a trade at some point.

He hasn’t, but coming from Ohio St where he usually had a clean pocket and WR’s open by 4-5 yds to the Bears with .7 seconds to throw to Equanimeous St. Brown.

When I was in college I was the Don Corleone before Don Corleone had Twitter updaes to provide. There was no twitter.

I had my threads in the draft section where I caught every single senior bowl practice all week long. I posted live updates of all weigh ins, and then I posted literal play by play, observations, and interesting quotes from the telecast all day long, all week long. People loved those threads.

I had time like no ones business. It was crazy.

Now, I catch literally no senior bowl coverage at all. I watch portions of the combine, recorded.

I cant keep track of who signs where in free agency and trades. I cant remember who got drafted where. And I dont think of checking in on guys I liked if they didnt end up in Philly. I have no idea what is going on with depth charts around the league. This is why I dont like being in the last 2 fantasy football leagues I cant seem to get out of. Im out of that loop. Not my lifestyle anymore.

I study a ton of draft prospects in pretty quick cram sessions when I can find time, but I cant follow the whole college season. Still do a hell of a job on the draft which makes guys like @ToastJenkins very jealous.

Life has changed like that for me too, I don't get to devote as much time as I used to.  I look at most of the top picks, still do my yearly absolutely don't draft pick (Barnett, Mays, Milliner, etc), then I do some searching for some mid round gems in positions of need.

You guys are NEVER going to believe who Casey Matthews is related to.

What's your definition of a stud WR?

Runs immaculate routes, has some of the best hands in the league, plays bigger than they are, has 4 gears, and does all the little things right.  You know, like the guy we have who lived up to the Marvin Harrison comp last year.  The guy who showed he was open quite a bit last week.

For the second time, not every offense is the same. A football expert like yourself should know that McDaniels' offense isn't like most offenses. For example, he doesn't change a ton of plays at the line of scrimmage. His plays are built in to work against just about any coverage because of the different WR options on each play. That takes some times to learn for Carr and the whole offense. Hope that clears things up, Football Master.

Good times in our heyday being the EMBs premiere source of all draft related info.

Epic battles in some of those IWTETG threads.

Carr isn't great, but he's a lot like Rivers to me.  Had a crappy coach situation for most of his career (if not all of it).  Rivers had some players (HOFrs too), but both were on some bad teams as well.  Also, gotta give it to Carr for turning a blind eye when his OL intentionally let him get hurt for disagreeing with them on the Anthem boycott.

I feel like I've watched this same packers/Bears game several times. Don't know why it's always a nationally televised game.

Same thing people have been saying about NYG/PHL the last few years on Thursday Night.

Yeah, I'm not the biggest Carr fan by any means. He's good, somewhere in the 12-16 range probably.

Or, maybe Carr, like Hurts, just isn’t that good.  Everyone here says Tua sucks, seems to be figuring out his new offense quickly.

Problem is, Huts defenders have created the narrative about new offenses hindering a QB, so now they have to go to absurd lengths to defend that narrative.

I don't know why you're making this about Jalen Hurts...
