Don't take a stance on anything then you can jump on the next great thing. As far as the Carson Strong thing......You still don't get it, do you? Who is chest pounding I’m repeating trash I read like trade for Baker 🤣🤣🤣 I always knew Hurts was no way near as bad as people we saying. The amount of Hurts Derangement Syndrome hate was ridiculous.
September 20, 20222 yr @4for4EaglesNest 69.8 completion percentage, passing 288 yards/game, TD:INT of 1:1. So 2 for me 1 for you. Could be a tight bet.

September 20, 20222 yr I dont know who these TV personalities are, other than RG3. But at about 2:42 this guy starts talking about the difference between the national media narrative on Philly last week, vs what was being said locally, and on message boards. Major props to this guy for doing homework on the local levels. Thats where the real stories are found. Locals examine and pick apart their own teams on a deeper level than national people. The real stories lie at the local level and you dont see enough of that. Whoever that guy is probably had to read all of RTKs posts to get through to the good stuff.

September 20, 20222 yr 2 minutes ago, Connecticut Eagle said: We are seven (yes, 7) point favorites AT Washington. After last night, can't say I'm surprised. Washington also looked awful against Detroit. Wentz went back to trying to play hero ball on every play and their defense got gashed repeatedly on multiple drives. There was a possession where Detroit didn't have to face a third down until the 9th or 10th play or something like that.

Eagles-Washingteam games are generally very close affairs and weird things can (and often do) happen. Division games are games to be wary of when it comes to the line. But, if I were a betting man, I'd take Washingteam and the points. I think the Eagles should win, but it will be a one possession game. AND... that was a big emotional win, and a short week for the Eagles going on the road. Lost in all of this though, I can't remember the last time the Eagles WON a game when they were honoring someone at half time. Last night was the Dick Vermeil HOF ring presentation. And they won! I was at the BDawk ring presentation... it was a sad affair. The Reggie White number retirement, IIRC was a blow out loss. Opening of the Linc... disastrous loss. Closing of the Vet... disastrous, crushing loss.
September 20, 20222 yr Right about 5:20 "Last year Hurts was terrible in the pocket, and bad against zone defense. Thats all he did last night! He sat in the pocket, and ate up cover 4, ate up cover 6, ate up cover 2, all the zones."

Heaven forbid any of you man up and just admit maybe you were wrong or maybe it’s just too soon to judge, but I know that’s beyond you all. But yeah you’re in Jalen’s corner. 🙄 Maybe, just maybe contrast the coverage that Hurts was successful against. The Vikings play a lot of lose zone. Last week, Detroit played a lot of man. Run on man, pass on zone. It is difficult to see the coverages on TV, but I think the Eagles actually mixed it up a bit. But take the throw by Cousins right before the Vikings TD, the Eagles were in QQH (quarters). As soon as I saw that long TV shot I knew Cousins would complete a pass. Last night early, the Vikings got called for illegal contact. I mentioned last week how much contact Smith was seeing during the game. So even when the Vikings were in man match, because they were cognizant this group of refs was whistle crazy early and would call illegal contact, the DBs backed off on contact with Smith. That’s deadly when your zone is slanted to take away Brown. Plus Harrison Smith and the LBs were no match for Goedert who lived in the zone soft spots. (Gannon had that weakness but there were lots of misfires and drops by the Vikings in that zone). Called right, Watkins is going to get shots to blaze through a soft zone a few times a game and Hurts hit him on target. Hurts had a good game. But those illegal man downfield calls, except Seumalo’s where he just fired out too fast chipping his guy and focusing on the LB, were partly on Hurts’ slow trigger and the sack certainly was. Hurts’ success last night went partly to a well called blocking scheme and his trust in it. Those run draw plays really did a number on the Vikings defense. Not taking away Hurts’ performance last night. He, Nick and Shane took what the defense offered.

Whether he would be "elite" in that scenario is a matter for discussion. With that said, which QBs in the NFL today are in your opinion "elite"? Very few by definition. its tier 1 mahomes, allen for sure. Brady and Rodgers So four out of 32 is 12% of the league which sounds about right its important to think weight of evidence and avoid recency bias
September 20, 20222 yr Naturally most everyone is gonna be focused on Hurts, but I gotta say, hats off to Gannon last night too. After Week 1, I thought for sure Jefferson and Cook were gonna obliterate us, but he called an awesome game, we saw some blitzes that actually worked (including on successive plays even!) and all-in-all he stifled an offense that is more than capable of putting up points against just about any other team in the league. Didn't expect it, but pleased to see it nonetheless.

Coverage units seem to be flying around but how many years has it been now that we just settle for fair catches, 2 yard returns or just watching the ball roll? Reagor had a flash in the pan PR TD his rookie year but other than that our return units are straight up garbage. It would be great if they could find a position player capable of being a threat returning the ball. Covey's ceiling is Chad Hall and I feel like that's a stretch. The only positive about Covey is that he isn't taking up a spot on the 53. They can PS him all year long and call him up on gamedays for his 3-6 snaps as PR. Would be great though if they could find someone who could not only return punts but also contribute on offense. Will they fill the 53rd roster spot this week? Sorry Jeff. One less snap than last week.
September 20, 20222 yr https://theathletic.com/3600807/2022/09/20/nfl-power-rankings-week-2/ The Athletic has us #3 in power rankings, lol. Here's the write-up on us: 3. Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) Let’s overreact. Jalen Hurts played what might have been the best game of his young career in prime time. One week after carving up the Lions with his legs against a blitz- and man-heavy game plan, he did the same to the Vikings thanks to precision passing and the well-timed designed run. A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert form one of the league’s best trio of offensive weapons, and the offensive line is arguably the best in football. And all of a sudden, the defense is part of the party, too. By EPA per drive, the Eagles’ defense had the fifth-best performance of the young season and the third-best of Jonathan Gannon’s young career as a defensive coordinator. With the second-easiest schedule in the league, according to preseason projected win totals, the Eagles have what looks like a realistic path to a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the NFC. Up next: at Washington, Sunday 1 p.m. ET
