They want numbers. Numbers attract advertisers. Their big advertisers are still beer and auto manufacturers. Who buys beer and autos? Everyone except those that don’t drive or drink beer and chances are most adults do one or the other. Just because the NFL recognizes a diverse audience doesn’t mean they are excluding you. Yesterday there was a tweet of some of the OL entering the building. One was wearing a shirt kind of like Cousins’. My reaction was they looked like a bunch of farm boys. You seem to have an issue with the way some black athletes dress before and after games. I don’t understand why. If the media embraces what they perceive as stylish, so what? May open those outlets to some clothing advertisers. Cousins (and Wentz) don’t get treated different because of their politics or religion. That’s nonsense. Having dealt with religious discrimination for close to seven decades, I can assure you, their religions are more the discriminatory group than the discriminated against groups. Did you see the group in prayer before the game. Diverse Cousins wore a dad shirt. Rogers has a dad body. Man, dad is such an insult. As a proud father, I glow a little inside every time I get called Dad. Widen your view my friend. Yes, I do think the NFL is targeting one market over the other. It's not hard to see. It's just an observation. It's not about the advertisers, it's about the content the NFL puts out. The pregame shows, the personalities used and so on. I never said I had an issue with it one way or the other because I actually enjoy the black culture they've embraced. Again, just making an observation on how the NFL is focusing heavily on it. It's perfectly fine to target new diverse audiences. I also have no issue and have never complained, made fun of or put down how black athletes dress before the games...not sure if you saw that I said that I liked their suits. I'll say it again, I liked Watkins and Hurts suits a lot. Quez's suit is especially sharp, great summer look. Outside of saying I thought DeVonta's short suit was silly and that I thought Cam Newton and James Harden really shifted pregame outfit conversations, I've never remarked on how black athletes dress in a negative manner. What I've made a stink about is how the Philly media drools over some of the outfits. The tweet you mentioned about the OL entering the building I agree. Looked like a bunch of farm boys. However, there was no "drip alert" for the OL. Just a "good evening." FWIW, I wear outfits like Quez Watkins suit as well as Landon Dickersons T and jeans. One of the best things IMO about the 2017 team was the Christian group of players that was such a big part of that teams culture. Carson Wentz led it along with Jordan Matthews, Trey Burton and so on. It was a great diverse group of men connected through faith. And no, there was no tweet or mention of the players praying before the game so I didn't see it. Also don't think dad is an insult but jokes are still jokes and it it's OK to joke about dads, then it's OK to joke about DeVonta Smith looking like a child in a pink suit. My views are wide and I'm able to look at the big picture which includes everyone. I don't think making observations and speaking about it is a bad thing.

I just don’t quite understand the marketing difference you see. All I see is an attempt to market broadly. Take for example the woman only football academy they held preCovid. Sure that was targeted towards women but not at the expense of men. Or the kids events surrounding the open practice. The cheerleaders "booth” probably isn’t aimed at the women. The tweets are pretty broad. Heck, they even have Fran’s that are aimed at hardcore football geeks. The End Racism isn’t really controversial to most and seems a transparent attempt to recognize a foundational belief of a significant part of their talent. I see an overall attempt at a broad appeal. Maybe the broadened attempt makes it feel that it goes against the former more focused group but I don’t see any group, including the former, excluded just more included. My wife, who grew up in a family that had season tickets, and thus watched a lot of football probably feels more of the targeted audience now. BTW, I am old and have no idea what drip references. Sounds like you do. Drip to us older Americans is something we hope to avoid.
September 21, 20222 yr So NFL power rankings currently place the Packers at #5 and the Dolphins at #8. That seems willfully obtuse, all things considered...

Then back it up with something SPECIFIC about the dress. Try "I like the cut of it" or "just the way your hair falls across the back of it." Goofy sh** works but I have had great success with being specific. 🙃 Same with responding to "how do I look?" Hyperbole followed by specifics, followed later with bangy bangy and all the trimmings.

The Packers just beat a career 3-9 QB with a career 72.8 passer rating in Lambeau. The national media has to keep Rodgers' balls warm. They attacked Herb Akush for saying that just maybe a lying cheater should not be considered for MVP in a year he lied and cheated. This is clear and obvious for steroids but not disease spreading? (and should have been suspended for 20+ instances of rules violations) Those morons actively root for Rodgers. Of course they overrate the Packers.
