Going to be a very long and miserable season for you.  And for the seasons ahead as Hurts remains the QB.  Might be wise to defect back to the Steelers.

The better Hurts plays the angrier and most desperate his haters here become.

Bacarty is talking about all the dimes he passes up on on a daily basis. He beat you today for "troll of the day”. There’s always tomorrow

Nope.  I'm good.  Hurts ran on third-and-long only twice on Monday.

Stick to Barnett's athleticism.  That was a winning position.

3rd and long???? who ever talked about it just being on 3rd and long? Im talking about 3rd downs in general and near the end zone. And not just on Monday. I began to see through his "great teammate" act prior to that game.

You'd have to be in their inner circle, like @Doc S., to be clued in.

I think we figured it out... @Bacarty2 is actually Adam Levine!

I think we're getting too far into the weeds based on a one-game performance from Hurts.  Because it was on MNF, the national sports media is all over him with praise -- when they forget Hurts had a 27-for-35 game with 3 TD passes and 0 INT against ATL in Week 1 last season.  That performance was an outlier in Hurts' overall 2021 season.

I didn't think Hurts played all that well against DET in Week 1.  Ran far too much, targeted AJ Brown predominately without distributing the ball, and his inability to move the offense in the 4th quarter was part of what helped the Lions comeback.

This is why I'm trying to base my opinion on 6-game portions for this season.  Hurts is neither the 56% completion ball hog he was against the Lions nor the 84% field general he was against the Vikings.  The truth will be somewhere in the middle.  As Eagles fans, we hope it's closer to the Week 2 performance.

Is this not a function of how D's have elected to play against him though? Week 1 was lots of blitzing and man coverage. If you have the ability to sidestep the blitz and look up field and see a bunch of defenders in man coverage with their back to you, killing them with your legs is a great option. Also AJ Brown is a beast against man coverage.

Week 2 the Viking go shell coverage and he beats them in an entirely different way - with his arm to a variety of different receivers finding holes in zones.

The Vikings essentially played 2021 Gannon defense and lets revisit how 2021 went on D. It was effective against bad QBs but good QBs carved us up. We of course need to see this level of performance from Hurts consistently but if he just carved up what was essentially a 2021 Gannon Defense, then what does that say about Hurts and how he's progressed?

Yeah, she sure is a dime, or like 5,000,000 dimes.

If you show up somewhere where Hurts is with taco bell all over your t-shirt and chin, he might think you're special needs and give you some $

I would need him to give me money BEFORE I got the taco bell. Their prices are ridiculous these days.

OK.  Please be specific.

You are stating that he wants to run himself on 3rd down.

Here is the link to the gamebook.  https://nflcdns.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/58869/PHI_Gamebook.pdf

Show me the plays that support your argument.

Oh....his second TD run was third-and-two.  He had the option to throw to Goedert, who had Smith draped all over him.  Keeping was, IMO, the right call.  I will entertain the argument that running OOB would have been a safer choice.  However, that is not your point.  You are arguing that he is choosing to run in ALL cases.

I too felt it was the best pass of the game.

I would vote for the throw to Goedert that was dropped, although dropped is a tough judgment. Great throw though.

@Bacarty2

I like the Steelers tonight getting points, your thoughts?

Please, this is no conversation.  This is a support group of people who are trying to cope and talk each other into keep their Hurts hate alive and hope that he starts playing terribly.  For years now the same group of postera have desperately tried to find a negative aspect about Hurts game and then pin everything in that negative slant and act as if it's the most important irreversible point that proves how he's awful and shouldn't be QB.

Like clockwork the detached from reality hate has to find something new the moment Hurts overcomes what the previous nonsense was. Now for the Hurts hate crowd it's this idea that the passing offense isn't actually improved because the Eagles are scoring rushing touchdowns in the redzone instead of passing touchdowns.

No throw into triple coverage is a good throw.

Full Props on that one HE.

You called it from the Jump.

Overdrafted, underperformer. Penalty machine. Placeholder.

No drifting here, felt similar, but you have your nuggets... Recognize! B-)

I agree with Matt.  The throw to Watkins was the Rodgers/Mahomes/Herbert throw that we hadn't seen before.

Hurts had made several throws to Goedert on that sail route last season.

Poor choice. Likely the wrong choice. But if someone put a gun to his head to make that particular throw, he placed that one perfectly. He was somehow accurate on Monday night. Lets hope he keeps his newfound QB skill for life.

he has you fooled with work ethic. You can be a hard worker and a selfish ball hog at the same time. He has a lot of people fooled with this work ethic and leadership story that has been parroted over the last 2-3 years + when he was in college.  Itll take time for everyone to see through that and catch on. But itll come.

What Jalen Hurts is doing is building a brand.  It's one thing to have a personal logo like so many athletes do, but it's another to want to build a brand and sell that brand.  It's very Tom Brady, LeBron James, Cam Newton type of behavior. From the production videos of work outs, talking in the 3rd person, countless situational quotes or having someone handle his twitter feed, everything Jalen Hurts does is pre-planned and thought out.  The "not too up, not too down" way of speaking during press conferences just comes off as robotic and again, coached. To me, it gives off a huge unauthentic and fake vibe.  It's just the feeling I get and hey, maybe that's who he is but I don't think is.  We all perceive things different.  I'm sure there are plenty who think the way he handles himself is great.

I like authentic humans though.  If I had the chance to sit down and talk to Jalen Hurts or Brandon Graham, I'm sitting down with BG. He's authentic and genuine every time he speaks.

Success can change people.  Just look at Justin Jefferson.  He's coming off as a humongous tool now.  He wasn't that way his rookie year and wasn't all that bad much of last year...now however, you're either seeing the true JJ or he's becoming what he thinks JJ should be.

Its not a guess. Its an opinion based on real life observations, or evidence, to substantiate the claim.

Evidence that people have not yet noticed, or are choosing to ignore. As evidence continues to mount, more people will be swayed in time.

They charge high prices for tacos made of wood? Now that I think about it, it makes sense. Lumber is very expensive right now.
