EMB Blog: 2022 Regular Season (and beyond?) - NO POLITICS

None of it makes sense.  Even if it is a joke and a "marketing ploy".  Why would the NFL have to resort to gimmicks to market itself?  Pretty weak and tone deaf on Amazons part.

This is what all companies do now. It is the only way to get people to talk about your products and company in a very crowded marketplace where most people have a short attention span. It is marketing for the TikTok age.

This is most likely a special ball created to promote TNF and will be sold only through Amazon. They are carefully making it seem like it is replacing the ball without actually saying it to make people talk about it.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Didn’t the Saints already lose a safety to FA? Pretty sure that Williams guy went to the Ravens. Interesting they dealt him for so little.

They got people talking about it

Sounds like the marketing strategy worked

I have also. The week long sore back, sore neck and hurt foot can attest

Hurt foot? Did it get caught in the bar well?

100%.

If Hurts is good, great!
If Hurts is average to bad, we can either draft a QB or be the most attractive  destination for any veteran QB.

Zero excuses for Jalen Hurts.

So the Vikes laughed at us for taking Reagor over JJ and now they want him?  I'll believe it when I see it.

Different regime

WTF?  Jesus, the NFL is a bunch of who-ors.  Allowing a sponsor partner to change the actual ball.

Pretty ironic coming from a league who had such an issue with the amount of air in a football in the 2nd half of a blowout playoff game.

Disgusting.

Hurts might be able to throw that one past the sticks.  Stop complaining.

Im torn between a Blankenship avatar, or a GM1 Howie Roseman avatar.

Blankenship. We know it took patience waiting this long

They signed Honey Badger and Marcus Maye in the off-season though

So Hurts and Gannon are on the hot seat this season

I’d take the end result of what the 2017 was. I think just purely talent? I’d take 2022 (assuming sproles misses majority of the year and we didn’t trade for ajayi until year’s end aren’t involved. If we include ajayi and sproles it’s clearly 2017). But of all the backs on 2017 and 2022 (ajayi not included as he was midseason acquisition), sanders has the highest upside if he stays healthy. Blount had a great year the season but i don’t think he had the ceiling sanders is capable of if he just stays healthy.

I think gainwell is a better talent than smallwood and clement. Clement had a great SB but gainwell’s season last year was similar to clement. Clement regular season had 444 yards and 6 tds on 84 touches. Gainwell had 544 and 6tds on 101 touches. I think he is more of a Swiss Army knife type back who’ll get better and had a higher ceiling than clement. Imo smallwood was a jag that had a limited ceiling. I think Scott is also better than smallwood.

No argument on Smallwood. To me, he and Scott are the same type, fringe guys that at best are a #3.

KG could be better than Clement. I think they're a wash right now, with a slight edge to Kenny G for being a better receiver. Essentially the same runner, stats wise.

I just disagree between Blount and Sanders. I think Blount was far superior. Especially with Sanders drop off in his catching ability. If Sanders was still as good a receiver as he was his rookie year, I think he's better than Blount. Without that ability, give me Blount all day every day.

And yes, I think we need to ignore Ajayi/Sproles for the sake of this argument.

Im kind of less interested in their product now. Hows that good?

That is going to be the case for some folks, but the goal of the ad is first and foremost that people are paying attention to Prime.

He'll likely be back...

Sometimes teams tell you what they're thinking with the moves they make and it's not rocket science. This team will give Hurts every opportunity to win this job moving forward, give him the pieces to do so, and provide the leash. But they are still not 100% sold on him. The same with the 9ers with Lance. They want him to take that job and will give him a long leash, but there's a reason they kept Jimmy there.

No props for Foles? Hurts can't be in the conversation if he's unable to distribute the ball in the passing game

Tbh i feel like foles would actually succeed in this offense with the talent we’ve accumulated. When he’s actually had this type of talent around him he’s succeeded in Philly. It’s always when he goes to teams that have talent deficiencies all over the field like rams, jags and bears looks like complete crap and forgets how to play. Even with the chiefs when they asked him to start in 2016 when smith missed time he looked competent.

I posted it up last week or 2. but essentially half the  Football fans didnt know every game was on Prime and on a separate question half the people didnt have prime, or didnt know if they had prime

Prime video isn't advertised well because it just comes with prime

I'm happy about this because I use it a lot

As I said I hope they are able to get Sunday Ticket

Howie essentially traded

JJAW
2023 5th
2024 7th

for

CGJ
2025 7th

Trades like this are Howie's greatest skill set.  Always has been.   I'm just glad he's back to trading for young players and not the over the hill gang.
