If he clears waivers, I'd offer him a roster spot and convert to guard. And he should be very interested in coming here. You have Pro Bowl lineman all over and the best OL coach in the league. If you want to develop into the best player you can be and are willing to be patient for a year or two, this is the destination.

I thought Covey looked very comfortable and secure fielding punts. He also showed very quick feet with the ball in his hands. I'm not sure he's going to be a big play guy but he looked more than adequate to me.

Yeah, as that PFF piece found, so pure zone coverages are hardly a rare sight as was implied. Sure there are always going to be variations and tweaks, but plenty of teams still use it as the staple of their base defense and blitz packages.

I think his form looks so bad it's kind of like an LB without instincts.  He never learned how to play and did so poorly last season and in camp that they don't expect improvement.  I don't think he looks playable. I would be fine signing him to the practice squad.

Saw Dylan Parham got waived.  It was the TE Dylan Parham not the C Dylan Parham.

I still like Seth Williams who got waived by Broncos.. Wouldn't mind us trying to get him on practice squad
