  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

There were a couple posters who didn't like the AJ Brown trade. I'm curious if your opinion has changed at all. Not an eating crow thing at all. I liked the trade and really liked AJ Brown in Tennessee. I think he looks even better to me this year. He looks more agile and lean than he did in Tennessee.

Love the add. Brings a missing piece to the WR corps.

Big, Strong and savvy. Can find the Sit-down zones or beat em deep, has the motor.

He changes how teams have to defend us. Worth every penny IMHO.

One of the comments @justrelax and I shared while watching the game was that in addition to all his own individual attributes and talents, Brown makes the players around him more productive and more effective..

If you looked at ESPN.com's NFL front page, you wouldn't know we were 4-0.

It's not the Superbowl so he will.

Would be nice to see SF somehow pull out a win tomorrow.  And too bad NE couldn't close out GB today.  That really would have set the rest of the conference back in the race for the 1 seed.

I was indifferent about it because honestly I didn’t watch a whole lot of Titans football the previous 3 seasons. Knew he was good but that was an offense centered around their RB so honestly wasn’t sure what to make of it/him.

What sold me on the trade was seeing how pissed Vrable got.

To me, he’s an "upper middle class” version of TO.

Think of all the sports announcers who can't ... the list is very, very long covering sports of al different shapes and sizes.

Think of all the myriad of NFL on air individuals.  Where would you put her?  ... top half? ... bottom half?  ... top 25% ... bottom 25% ... top 10% ... bottom 10%

Or to make it simple, think of the three individuals in tonight's SNF halftime ... Maria Taylor, Tony Dungy, and Rodney Harrison ... how would you rank those three in their ability to communicate with intelligence and insight?

I happen to like Colleen Wolfe. Big energy, VERY knowledgeable and handles Host duties on NFL Gameday like a Boss.

Not to mention she can stand up with Willie McG and hold her own, (that's a job), and still throw around the league for reports.

...Philly Girl to boot and she's easy on the eyes. ( NTTAWWT) Philly Super Bowl Parade in the freezing cold, out there with all of us "Makin Money Moves"  lol.

Jaime Honorable Mention.

Colleen Makes my Final Cut.

When you're 4-0, of course a lot of statistics will look favorable.

But we are tied for most takeaways (10) and tied for fewest giveaways (2).

If sustainable, that portends to a really successful season.

Through 4 weeks AJ Brown has 404 receiving yards, which is good for second in the NFL, behind only Tyreek Hill's 477.  Third with 393 is our old friend Justin Jefferson.

Yeah but what about the missed draft picks of JJAW and Reagor?  It's going to set us back for the next 15 years.

Eagles win ugly over Jaguars to remain only undefeated team in NFL

I was listening to the WIP post game show and their recurring comments labeled this game as an Ugly Win.  My take on that is that it is 100% off the mark.  That win was anything but ugly.  I wanted to call in and ask them what it was about the game that they thought made it an ugly win, but I didn't know the call in telephone number.

So here's a prop for the Blog.  If you thought this was an Ugly Win mark this comment with the Sad button.  If you thought it was not an Ugly Win mark this comment with the Like button.  I'm really interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

Imo the two best teams in afc are the bills and chiefs. I feel like both at their peak are better than everyone else. I really look forward to when they face off against each other. It should be a blast like last playoffs. In the nfc the eagles really look much better than everyone. Packers don’t look like they have in the past. The offense just isn’t where i think they need to be. The Bucs might get healthier and better. But that defense was torched by the chiefs tonight. Granted maybe having to go to Miami practice all week had something to do with it and the hurricane. The rams feels like something is off and their oline has issues.

I’m still big on Baltimore as they’ll get healthier, but can’t put them above those two in the AFC yet.

Ugly start , not an ugly win by any means at all in my opinion.

If you are going to argue that overcoming the elements, injuries, and a 14-0 deficit makes for a beautiful win, then it wasn't an ugly win.

If you are going to argue that a ton of injuries, an inability to lean on a precise passing game (understood, can't really happen in that weather), and slugging it out until midway through the 4th quarter are all things that are not beautiful, then it was an ugly win.

I'm in from California taking care of my 99 year-old mother and I broke away from those responsibilities long enough to enjoy the game at justrelax's apartment with his cat Benjamin.  We thought about going to the game itself, but the tickets were insanely expensive, so we opted for Plan B, which proved to be both drier and warmer.

They can’t hold onto leads. They seemingly pour it on in the first half of games to get big leads and just fall apart and can’t put it back together. Were up 28-7 in Miami and 20-3 to the bills and lost it. I’d say it’s just defense but it’s offense just disappears once building up the lead and the defense has issues in the secondary that allows teams to get back into games. Even New England who was down 31-20 nearly came back on them. I  think they are the 3-4th best team but i also think the bengals oline will gel and they’ll get better.

It was absolutely brutal out there today. One of the worst weather days I've ever experienced. The combination of wind and rain was unbearable. There was no chance of staying dry, and once you were wet, it felt about twenty or thirty degrees colder than what you'd normally feel. I doubt people are complaining too much, but if you are, you're a fool. I'm sure the conditions were a lot worse than folks watching at home could really grasp. That's one of those games where you just want to walk out with a win, to hell with how pretty it might look.

I felt the same at the Penn State game yesterday. Once my jeans got soaked I was bishing about how absurdly long TV timeouts take. Not fun. It’s up there with the 7 degree game I went to.
