  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

I will never ever post a picture of my wife here

But what about other sites?

What time are the updates on the injuries?  Holding out hope that Mailata and Slay aren't bad.  Please, please, please 🙏

I was thinking that this morning that he would be well worth a 3 year deal.  He and Slay have played as well as any duo this season since Vincent and Taylor.

Siposs has absolutely no touch on his punts at all, and its like he has no accuracy either

This is his profession, he needs to do more than just kick it as hard as he can.  Look around the league and you see punters placing balls accurately, getting hang time when they need it, or using different techniques so that balls die or spin sideways/backwards when they land.

Every punter we've faced this year has massively outperformed him

He also fails at hangtime.

Nah. Family (wives, kids and mothers especially) should be off limits.  Jokes or not.

I know, just standard board response.

Nope. Not there either.

Would you?

I would refer you to the Special Teams Blog. @FranklinFldEBUpper has been tracking the kicking game for as long as I can remember and does a fantastic job.

They need him or Dillard vs the Boys.  If you neutralize their pass rush, there is nothing else that scares you on that team.

I think they neutralize Parsons they same way they went after Devin Lloyd.  I think they made Devin the read players for a lot of the RPOs and it slowed down his time to react.  They need to attack Dallas with the running game and then hit them on sluggo type passes to take advantage of Diggs.

Doubt it. He's a warm body but a below par athlete at his size. Guard only.

That's what you think, buddy

Speaking of Philly Special ... did I see one successfully executed in one of the games yesterday?

Yes.  Berrios for the Jets threw to Zach Wilson.   That's what I was referencing.

It was cap related, I believe.

Yeah that's what I mean, his contributions to the defense are easily a net positive. I'm not sure there's been anyone consistently worse in run support on our defense than him, but I'm more than willing to not nit pick to much on that given how well he's played otherwise.

I can live with it from a CB who's making plays in the passing game.  I don't like it... but I can live with it.  Just as I lived with it with Bobby Taylor... and Asante Samuel...

I was hoping to see Davis get more snaps as the games go on, not less.  I am not worrying yet....but.  Something seems off there.

Had a nice TFL early and then...crickets. I think it was due to Jax formations more than anything else.

17 of 47 snaps.  That's... not great.  The argument could be made it was due to the matchups and the Jags more pass happy.   Jags passed 58% of the time.  So, Davis only being on the field for 36% of the snaps isn't terrible.  BUT, a top 15 pick should play more than 1/3 of the snaps at DT.  So far, return on investment is... weak.   There's still time this season for more impact, and he might get a bunch more once Cox and/or Hargrave are gone next year and moving forward.  But, they are definitely slow playing him.   Will he play more next year and they go to more 5 man fronts rather than even fronts?  Next year, Graham is likely gone as well... and they might go to a more traditional 3-4 alignment more often.  Or Gannon leaves and then who knows what happens?

So far, the Eagles are getting very little from this year's draft class.  Jurgens (rightly so) is sitting behind Kelce and seems to be a future star.  Davis is out there... but not much.  Not sure how much impact he's having on the running game.  But Eagles are ranked #9 against the run... even after that first game disaster against the Lions, and the lionshare (pun intended) of those yards came when Davis was not in the game.  Dean is playing ST, but is behind Edwards... who is playing very well.  But, Edwards is a UFA at the end of the year.  Will Dean be ready to step up and be big enough with Davis shielding him playing in the middle?   Should be interesting to see the progression of this draft class next year.   It seems like it was much more about Years 2 and beyond... with almost no expected significant impact for Year 1.

This team is in a luxury position that they don't NEED heavy contributions from their rookie class...which I for one am very happy about. I'm also including AJ Brown in our class, and he's obviously been a hell of a contributor.

Haven’t seen many talk about McPherson, thought it was an encouraging sign he stepped in for Slay and did a nice job. Maddox however needs to play ASAP

I was happy about Zech after last year's draft. I think he has a nice ceiling as a #2 CB. He showed it yesterday for sure.

I don't disagree.  He's what we have.   If he worked on coffin corner, he'd have to learn touch and accuracy.  Where's Sean Landeta when you need him?!

Benefit that Bradberry has with the Eagles that he didn't have with the Giants... there he was the top CB and lining up on the opposition's best.  Here he's the #2 and gets to match up against the lesser WR... and has been lights out against TEs.

I don't.  The great part about rookie contributions and a rookie draft class is that they are significantly cheaper than veterans.  Brown is a very expensive player.  That negates the rookie class benefit.

I know you asked facetiously, but:

Landeta works with the Eagles and Giants organizations, appearing at pre-season and regular season functions as an alumnus of both NFL teams. He is also active in media, working for CBS Radio and FOX Television. He also has worked with Comcast and worked as a sideline reporter for Westwood One Radio. In addition, Landeta has also spoken and appeared on numerous radio and television shows throughout the country.
