To be fair, we took some shots in the second half. It's not like we were kneeling on the ball. This team is still trying to learn how to deal with big leads. I think they'll figure it out soon, but the opponent's defense will always have a say in the matter.

I still want a big, bruising runner- like a LeGarrette Blount type RB, to wear down defenses in the 2nd half and the 4th quarter... in particular. Sanders just doesn't do it for me.

I asked for Hurts to throw some touchdowns instead of running for them in the red zone. It’s like he was like "here you go.” I got no complaints about the quarterback, the defense, and the coaches right now.

Yeah, they all shut me up pretty early this year- and I'm happy about it. I did expect a 13-4 season or so, simply due to the talent on the team and easy schedule. But Hurts and Gannon had a lot to prove to me going in. So far, they are proving out. 👍🏻

Only complaint for me is 2nd half points and special teams needs some work. All of it is a work in progress. Preseason is over now. Now they really count.

Tale of two quarterbacks. After nearly every first half drive Wentz walked of the field dejected or showing little to no emotion. Jalen Hurts after that TD to Smith he ripped off his helmet on the sidelines and hyped up all of the fans there. The place went crazy!

This had to have been the worst possible outcomes for all the beanbaggers. Not only did their god look like he’s reverting back to the 2020 version of himself, but the guy who took his job looks like he’s on his way to becoming an MVP candidate. They’re beside themselves these days. 
 

On a side note does some of you still want Wilson, his big contract, and three points of first half football?

They really need to find themselves a legit KR/PR, because neither of them are that good right now. Perhaps Howie can trade for a guy who can do both.

Well they are kind of correct.

There was some bad drops, and the O line was bad. But he was terrible.

Biggest miracle is Howie got a first out of him, but truly it’s all thanks to Wentz for wanting out. It’s thanks to Carson’s durability issues that the Eagles drafted Hurts in the first place. All of this is thanks to Carson.

Wentz played very poorly, but I don't want to pin it all on him. I'm objective enough to notice that a number of the sacks were all on him for holding it too long, but I also give credit to our defensive line for making him look extremely bad.  His receivers also had a few noticeable drops that killed drives and any momentum they could've gotten going.  Anyway, I'm with many of the fans that don't like how conservative this team gets with a big lead. They need to put a game together where they can just put a team away and make them put in their backups once they get a 24-0 lead going into the half.

Agreed. What would we rather have:

1. A team learning how to play with huge leads

2. A team learning how to overcome huge deficits

I was not as high as everyone else about this team because of my doubts about Jalen Hurts.  Never been so happy to be so wrong!  Apologies to Jalen!
