For a comparison no one would call Pats and Genos center city. They are under 2 miles from city hall.

 They should just shut down all locations in Philadelphia and the suburbs (because the crackheads can take a bus there).

Will be my first stop. My son is interested in Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Love park & Franklin Institute. He's into history & they just studied all that in class.

We're actually getting a WaWa in Tennessee.

Make sure to go to the Board Game Art Park right across the street from Love Park.

Been to the Wawa on Market Street, a lot. Never seen anything happen there. I have to wonder if this is a political reaction.

my kid is looking at colleges & originally had temple at the top of his list.  it's still on the list...but i'm "encouraging" him to consider other colleges instead.

During day light hours, and in the museum area/center city/old city you're fine.

Walking in groups at night you should be ok.

Walking at night by yourself, or with a young kid, well... I wouldnt do it.

With that being said, it's getting colder out. scumbags dont like the cold

I was there for work in 2018 2 weeks after the SB win, walked around at night myself fine. With the fam, we'll do daytime stuff then dinner & back to the Air bnb to get the boy to bed.

weather permitting, the history trail is a nice walk around the area. if you can make your way out to valley forge park, that would be a nice add on.

i just went through Gettysburg for the first time last week. got goosebumps standing in those fields knowing what took place.

Nice, enjoy. The outdoor areas over by the river are fun (spruce street harbor and if it's open the winter fest area).

Don't let these chicken littles scare you. I lived downtown for 10 years.  Walked pretty much everywhere. Never had a problem. Not gonna pretend it's a super safe happy place and you should be smart about it, but people acting like it's some kind of warzone are ****ies.

My son was in the room with the news on the background and It made me ask myself if the news makes us racist.

My kid loves everyone. white, black, cuban, asian, doesnt have a mean bone in his body and has never seen any type of racist in his life(he's 7)

But listening to the news yesterday was.

Black girl charged with attempted murder for plowing into a group of black teens trying to kill them

Black men attacked police

Black teen shot after leaving football practice

Black man wanted for murder

IT's wild

I'm not so sure.

We're getting a few in NC in 2024.  No idea where.  I am sure the charlotte area.

Anyone gets a chance if they're heading south on 95 hit up Buccee's just outside Florence, SC.  I can't say the food is good, because I don't know.  But holy hell, the place is huge.  It's like an amusement park.

There's a couple of those in TN now. They're popular in Texas, people go nuts over it but in rural areas where there's nothing to do
