June 3, 20223 yr Can't fire the team. Maybe have a "Lucky Fan" drawing before each game to come down and give it a shot.

I can't understand why Odubel is on this team. I actually had to watch the guy swing at a pitch between his legs. Agree with trading Hoskins. On Harper, for a little while, I'd show him some respect and maybe see if he wants to go until the AS Break. Here's the lineup we should be running out there: 1B - Bohm 2B - Segura (when healthy, Maton for now) SS - Stott 3B - Camargo C - Realmuto LF - Schwarber CF - Moniak RF - Castellanos DH - Harper (for now) We need to let Stott, Bohm and Moniak play every day and see what they're made of.

June 3, 20223 yr Oh wow, maybe the rumors were true and they wanted to wait until Gabe was out of town because they didn't want to show weakness in front of the ex.

The Phillies have always been like that so it’s not surprising. The fact they did it like that tells me they have no clue what they are doing. He should’ve been fired after that Mets series with how it went. Frankly he should’ve been fired on May 8 and he got lucky the Phillies didn’t completely collapse on the seattle and La road trip.
June 3, 20223 yr They should have made Dusty Wathan the Manager..... Instead, you just named a guy who has been Girardi's #2 for over a decade. I wanted them to hire him to replace Pete Mackanin....the guy paid his dues and was a winner in the minors and players love him. Why not give him a shot?

June 3, 20223 yr The Phillies need to go 62-49 to reach the 84 win mark where most people think that is what's needed for the 3rd wild card. Is that doable? Yeah, I guess if the bullpen doesn't continue their implosions and the damn offense can get more consistent. I agree with @iladelphxx in that I would rather them hire Dusty Wathan. Guy has paid his dues. Maybe Thomson has the personality needed for the guys to respond to, who knows. If he is just a Girardi clone, then the managerial change isn't going to matter.

They probably let Rob Thomson go at the end of the year or as part of hiring their new manager. Maybe they just wanna keep Dusty out of the fray. Keep him on the payroll somewhere in the organization.

Thomson ad Girardi are pretty much the same, that is why they have been together so much
