August 24, 20205 yr The first read by Bohm on that grounder up the line screams future first baseman. He’s going to have to move faster than that. But at least he’s hitting .323. Once they bulk him up to put some more power behind that long frame, he has a chance to be a real hitter...unless he’s just Browning/Hoskinsing us. Of course, that body change will almost certainly relegate him to first base. I think Bohm probably will bump out Hoskins and we’ll be in the long term market for a 3rd baseman.
August 24, 20205 yr This Hembree guy isn't too bad. Seems to be a strike thrower instead of a guy who nibbles.
August 24, 20205 yr This ESPN specialist is richly ironic. You would think the Phillies were a great team with the way they talk about them. Tommy Hunter is the 8th inning specialist? The only special thing I can think of him is allowing 5 straight baserunners without recording an out recently.
August 24, 20205 yr Workman fitting in nicely for the Phillies bullpen. Two consecutive days where he blows it. Somehow saved by the outfield assist.

August 24, 20205 yr Should the Phillies move JT Realmuto? I don’t think they’ll re-sign him, then we get next to nothing. I hate the fact Klentak will never do it because he’s doing what’s best for his job and not what’s best for the team.

I said you do it at the deadline if you don’t plan on extending him or it’s unlikely. You get prospects especially with how bad the bullpen has been they aren’t making the playoffs.

Do you think Klentak will keep him for the sole reason that he is trying to save his job?

Do you think Klentak will keep him for the sole reason that he is trying to save his job? Klentak is not going to trade him even though he should and the team isn’t gonna make the playoffs. He traded for two bullpen arms and one has been as awful as the ones we had in place.

August 26, 20205 yr This is high drama .... the Phillies are up by only 6 runs going into the bottom of the ninth
