Guess we won't have to hear about him making the all-star team anymore. As bad as Luzardo has been, how about this no show offense for like the umpteenth time. It would be one thing if they were losing 8-6 but this is pathetic. A whopping 2 hits so far. Over paid chumps. How about someone in the Philly media start putting heat on DD and his roster construction. Not gonna hold my breath.Yup - was leading the NL Cy Young race 2 weeks ago then doubled his ERA in 2 games LMAO

Turner, Castellanos are fine. But really everything else has been crap like paying Walker $18 mil. Or signing Nola to a 7 year deal. Or dealing for Castro. I’d him credit for Hoffman but Harper went to the FO said bring him in cause he was close with him. For the amount of resources given to him and roster this team shouldn’t be inferior to the Mets. Yet here we are
June 5, 20251 yr Mets play the Rockies for 3 and then nationals for 3. Good chance we are 6-7 games back in a week with how it’s going
June 5, 20251 yr Just saying maybe Weston wilson is answer in the bullpen. Pitched 3 innings this year and given up 0 ER and 3 hits
June 5, 20251 yr I’m far from bailing on Luzardo after 2 horrific starts, but at worst…at least it wouldn’t be tricky to get Painter into the rotation.
June 5, 20251 yr Marsh has to lead the team in K's looking. Can't even be close. What a scrub. Great trade DD.
June 6, 20251 yr Crawford will look great down the stretch in the majors probably hitting .240 with no power. At least for 2025 he’s probably Rojas 2.0. I understand he has more upside beyond this year, but that’s why there no enthusiasm internally to bring him up.

I’m sure they can coach him up into an above average (at worst) fielder, but even that isn’t there yet. I think it’s clear he’s not ready. And, TBH, I’d gladly trade him for MLB bullpen help because I don’t think his bat has the kind of upside to ever make them regret it.
June 6, 20251 yr 24 minutes ago, iladelphxx said:The issue is if you keep him in triple A and he keeps putting the numbers he is then a chance he’s never to adjust to fixing his swing. he knows he’s good enough to keep doing it, have success unless he goes into a major slump at some point which hasn’t happened in 2.5 months. Or if you’re gonna trade him at the deadline and maximize him looking good in triple then you’re gonna have to bring him up and see what he does. If he comes up and he struggles then you know he’s gonna go back down and he realizes he needs to work on the things with his swing.frankly, this wouldn’t even be a conversation if Brandon marsh, Kepler and and lesser extent Rojas weren’t as bad as they are. If you had more competent outfielders, could play this long game. But really with how bad marsh and Kepler you don’t have many options unless you make a trade and chance with additional wild card paying a fortune or getting an Austin hays type ( not how he is this year)

Based off what Dombrowski has shown you’re gonna get an estevez type which is nowhere close to giving up a top 100 prospect. The fact Dombrowski’s trades have mainly been bad when trading high end prospects i think it’s Bad idea to have him make that trade
June 6, 20251 yr Crawford is only 21. Give him the rest of the year in the minors. Reevaluate in the offseason. I am certainly not trading him for anything less than a plus controllable major league player.
June 6, 20251 yr Bailey Falter tonight for the Pirates. The pathetic Phils offense will be lucky to score a run.
