August 5, 20251 yr I don’t think bader is going to be what victorino was. Imo can be like 2010-2012 (less of 2011 and more 2010)Victorino in 2010: .259/.327/.429/.756 18 HR 69 RBI2011: .279/.355/.491/.847 17 HR 61 RBI2012: .255/.321/.383/.704 11 HR 55 RBIBader in 25: .253/.333/.438/.771 13 HRs 41 RBIHe’s a really good fielder. IMO just play him everyday in CF. He’s better splits wise than anyone you are platooning in LF. Just start marsh in LF and platoon him with kemp and have bader start everyday.

Hopefully him getting under .200 and bader starting to produce shuts the door on kepler altogether and bader is the everyday cf moving forward

Need someone to platoon with him that can. Could do Sosa but he’s not good as an OF. They really needed kemp to hit consistently vs. LHP to be that guy. Kepler sucks. And frankly they won’t bring up Crawford to platoon with marsh even though he hits LHP well in the minors.Marsh vs. LHP: .200/.286/.260/.546Kemp vs. LHP: .286/.375/.514/.889Kepler vs. LHP: .196/.274/.399/.673Wilson vs. LHP: .188/.316/.219/.535Sosa vs. LHP: .324/.390/.486/.877

And yeah agreed I think that’s why they’re trying Wilson too. Sucks we’re still really one great right handed bat away from honestly being a very complete lineup

I still think the thing that holds them back from winning a World Series is going to be the lineup. really that middle of the lineup right handed power bat. It would give them protection to the top of the lineup. And it puts guys in better spots in the lineup where they’ll have more success. To me the difference between being the World Series favorite and what we feel Now after adding Duran is that RH bat

Its like the DD way, when he makes a bad signing he insists on continuing to run the guy out there to try and save face. Kepler is no longer needed hitting barely .200 and should be DFA'd or at minimum a bench player. They should be better with some combo of Bader, Marsh, and Crawford and maybe even Rojas. Not saying any of these guys are great but Kepler flat out stinks.

August 5, 20251 yr Bader had a good night last night. Phanatic just happened to be in our vicinity when Schwarber hit the tying HR in the 3rd. There was nothing like it. It was a great night!!!
August 5, 20251 yr If Walker can keep that splitter down in the zone he can be pretty good but the problem is his command with it and tends to keep it in the middle of the plate too much.

Base this on the fact last Friday they all discussed what they wanted to do with the OF and lineup based of Matt gelb’s article
