Can’t imagine they bring him back at $9M next season. He’s going to have a tough market. That said, I’d bring him back on a cheap 1 year deal.

his 7.50 ERA since coming back is exactly what happened to him last year. Feels like they knew weren’t using him in the playoffs so why let him figure it out now when it’s better just to move on

Bringing Alvarado back is risky. Even if he takes a cheap deal. it still doesn't take the risk away that if he gets busted for PED's again, that it's a lifetime suspension. Now that leaves a major hole in your bullpen. He really screwed them this year. Not sure if they would want to risk going through that again. Maybe there is someone in their farm system they could bring up if that happens. I don't know.

Schwarber has been bad since the start of the nationals series on Aug 22 (20 games). His slashes are .167/.341/.403/.743 with 5 HR and 14 RBI. Then you remember he had a 4 HR game where he was 4-6 with 4HR and 9 rbi. Meaning the rest of that time he’s had 1 HR and 5 rbi and his slashes are .121/.318/.197/.515

Honestly almost every at bat we have guys swinging at pitches at their eye level. Not hitting that pitch yet they keep just chasing it
