Also nobody said the Phillies haven’t also contributed to their own demise. Acting like dodgers were just given the game and didn’t capitalizing on those opportunities and giving no credit is laughable. They also get paid to play and they are one of the best team at capitalizing in your mistakes. That is part of the reason they won a WS and very well go back to back. Meanwhile Roberts nearly also did that last night for the dodgers. acting like dodgers didn’t also try to give that game away in the 9th. So dodgers didn’t nearly beat themselves in that 9th with bad decisions or Betts forgetting how many outs there was? That’s part of playoff baseball. It is why a throw home (which Turner admitted wasn’t thrown where or how it should’ve been) is critical to winning games and having good base running fundamentals which has been discussed for 6-7 years now is important.

I don’t disagree with your statement that the Phillies themselves have cost themselves games in the series. I think the Dodgers have also attempted to give games away. Particularly Roberts the 9th last night. the teams that celebrate take advantage of it and the teams that lose dwell on it

Interesting the Phillies were 28% chase against snell. Below their season avg. but really I’d love to know in high pressure situations like Harper in the 6th and Bohm after him. Cause they chased at least 4 balls in their at bats
